This shows us how important and special parents really are. My mom, as a single mom, has taught me, sang to me, held me, got me into a nice school, got me mental help, supported me, cared for me, tolerated me when I caused trouble, helped me, been there for me, for so many years. I owe her so much.

The father was very generous but a bit callous with his son. I felt very sad for the boy when he came across his father's message that said, "someday you will be a great man. This really warmed the boys heart, thinking it was for him but his father coldly says, " it's not for you". I would have given it to him & made another one. Still, a lovely story but let's not forget to encourage our own kids, even if they are able bodied and seemingly don't seem needy. They have feelings too.
Vlad Vladyslav Money is not everything you know. As children need also attention beside their "life fees". More than less, I don't blame the child for being ignorant person. I blame his father for not giving love equally...
Vlad Vladyslav I don't think I missed the point at all. There is an old saying, "Charity begins at home". This boy was motherless & to a degree also felt fatherless. You can't buy love. You said it yourself, care about the other persons feelings. He didn't seem to care enough about the most important other person in his life, his son. I am not negating that the father thought only of himself. Surely it was good that he helped others, but he was blind to the needs of his own son. We all do the best we can & sometimes miss the mark. The word sin actually came from an old archery term meaning, to miss the mark. Wishing you a blessed day.
@@chamijaresmesa The father was a douchebag to his own son. Karma paid him back with fatal disease which led to his death. If I were the son, I wouldn't accept the recognition from the foundation. Very real life heart touching your story...made me shed the tears I have been holding since I watched the video. I don't have a father like you. So you're very lucky. God bless you two
But kindness is makes much much more happy to us and who the person getting our kindness than money ! So in my vision always a person with like this kindness is more richer than the person with money !
Actually it’s not it still has a price as people who are rich who have kids are not grateful and spoiled due to being rich while poor kids are opposite as it’s a price to pay
@@sppypp3606 even then it's not the money that spoiled them it was the lack of discipline from the parents. You could be poor like they were in this video, and still be spoiled. If you let a child do as they please and don't teach them to respect every person and don't punish them for bad actions, then they are spoiled bc they will have the mind set that the world revolves around them and they can do what they want with no repercussion. The 'spoiled' you are talking about is the 'get whatever you want' spoiled, but there is more then one type of spoiled. Anyone can be and is spoiled in one way or another.
One of the most heart touching short films ... I literally cried :') You taught me a great lesson today that "Being rich is not about how much you have, but how much you give". 🖤
This movie teaches us to always be grateful for what we have today. We must always respect and appreciate our parents. This video also reminds us of our parents who have tried to do the best for us. For example, like in the movie a father can set a good example for his son, and we as children must also remember that he has guided us to be what we are today. And after seeing the movie we know that "Wealth is not all about material but the real wealth is the wealth of the heart."
im glad you posted this i was thinking the same thing. maybe he was a good man but a foolish father- why not take his son to one of the many outings he was on? why not involve him instead of teach him vague lessons with no actions or examples behind them...
You are wrong, he prioritized his son becouse he gave him everything, pay his education and etc. but as all other children he wanted play station, nintendo wii and all other shi*s.
Say, the father did not prioritize his son, but he did give him the essential needs... Food, a house, clothes and education... He may not have given him the attention he needed but that's because he had work therefore he's tired and needs time and effort to keep on giving him the things he needed... He wasn't successful maybe because he wasn't so smart and all such... Obviously something must have happened to the mother given she's not there... If you only think that this was all about the trophy, then you must be a REALLY dense person... Think about it, if say, he decided to have a great relationship with his child... Would the child have gotten the things he needed? Education? Food? A house? Clothes? No. He would've spent most of his time building a great relationship with his child and barely any time at work, it's effort and time consuming... For you to say this... You must be quite close minded... I don't mean to offend you... But molomosk123, if he was a foolish father... He wouldn't be so smart to name his donations after his son and to teach him that I quote "Being rich is not how much you earn, but how much you give". They may be "vague" lessons but for what's worth he understood it by himself, it's best if he learns it eventually rather than being spoon-fed all the answers and walks of life... With no actions or examples, really? So you think everything he did was just talk? You mean he didn't work his ass off to help his son have a better future? You mean he didn't strive to make other people feel better about themselves given that they were in a worse condition than themselves? If he took his child to his many outings,if he made him involved, do you think he would have time to study, to go to school, what about his school? What about his childhood? Is it just going to be the father's workplace? I can't believe people are this close-minded, so dense... There is more than meets the eye...
Give a kid "everything" and it will become a spoiled kid..give it a challenge and it will grow. Afterall its just a short movie wich connects to modern society pretty well. I learned that lesson the hard way and im thankfull for it,
Woah! Left me in tears, it reminded me how selfish I am. I stay at home all day, when I could go out and help others. Because everyone has problems in their lives, we just think ours is bigger than others.😶
I teared when I saw this video. It reminded me of my dad. He gave everything for the family. His life. His youth. All his sacrifices all these decades were for the family and letting us have a better life. Thank You Daddy for being my father and I'm proud to be your son. I'm eternally grateful to all you've done for me, Mummy and Wilson. Always.
The moral lesson: a gross lack of communication can mess up your son's emotional development. Seriously, showing your boy what you've been doing all this could've really helped. Instead, he hogs all the emotional gratification (of helping others) all to himself. Then he decides to surprise his boy with the truth. Posthumously. He could've used the selfless acts as common ground for building a closer relationship with his son. Then there's the motivational card: "It's not for you." Dafuq!? Could've he said something along the lines of, "This isn't for you, I still need to make another." Or maybe give that one to his kid then make another. Sorry, I know I'm spoiling this for everyone else, it's just that this story could've gone a whole lot better, the kid could've had a much, MUCH better childhood, if only his dad actually thought this through. Keeping his sickness a secret, that's fine, but the least he could've done is shared his joy (helping people) with his kid.
I agree with you. The dad was too busy enriching other people's lives and hearts and get a great deal of gratification out of that, but he failed to enrich his own child's life with the same pleasure
the problem is that people do mistakes in real life , they really do; and this father wasn't a perfect father, he was just a normal perso who makes a lot of mistakes , hidding his truth from his son was a mistake , that doesn't make him any less than a great father ... however , the son didn't show any sign of gratitude to his father not even a little and this was the real tragedy in the senario .. if only he cared more of his father he might have had the chance to be part of the good work his father did .. saddly the world is not what we think it should be , the world is what it is and that is the wisdom of life ... such stories happen every where all the time , and this is a great film that spots the light on this hidden part of humanity that cinamas normally don't just because it doesn't sell tickets !
You favor the father a little too much. You fail to mention that the son himself made mistakes, errors, common to any human being and more so for a child who takes what he sees: a father who neglected him and spent more time and effort helping other people. His father never made any attempt to enlighten his son on the gravity of his own actions, choosing instead to deny his son a proper explanation. Now his son is left with a lifelong regret of never having truly reconciled with the father. And THAT is the real tragedy. How can he show gratitude when the father never made any attempt to show the son the value of his actions which would have warranted said gratitude... IF ONLY THE FATHER MADE ANY MENTION OF IT. I respect your defense of a father who meant well, but I'm sorry to say that the father made a VERY BIG mistake in how he raised his son. The proof is the regret on the kid's face. The world is what it is... unless WE CHANGE IT. I can be a real cynic sometimes... but I'd be a miserable person if it weren't for the fact that I understand how positive feelings trump negative ones any day, and this particular father left his own kid with regret, grief and guilt. And that's a shitty way of saying goodbye.
After we watched the video title "Gift" we gained a motivation and moral value. That living your life is not always about how much wealth we possess, but how much we give to others. Also, life is not always about seeking something, but also about giving something. Then, in our opinion, this film is very amazing and inspiring.
This such an inspirational and amazing short film, make me realize how fathers would do anything to his children and even to make others happy. This also remind me that some of what we have can be a blessing to others. We can learn to always do good to everyone, our gifts may make others happy and mean a lot for them.
This video teaches us to appreciate someone and give others what we have, not only material but we can give others happiness through simple things. And we can realize that being wealthy is not just about how much we have, but rather about how much we are willing to give.
What makes me cry, is to know that there are a lot of people outthere like his dad ! But still, you don't hear about them in the news, magazines, radio... Is there hope for the new generations ?
I've learned over time that giving in "silence" is the way to go. You don't give solely to be seen in the news, magazines, radio, etc. Even if you never make it on any of those mediums, it still doesn't matter. When you are doing something good for someone else, you don't need to advise it to people. You give...because you are selfless. That's it. =]
***** Oh yeah. Definitely. lol I didn't mean that the only way to be a selfless person is to give in silence. Of course it could be in "silence" or using the media to your advantage. My post was a reply to how the original poster phrased the message. I didn't believe it was always about the hearing yourself in the news, radio, newspaper, but how you use those resources to your advantage. =] Also, what I meant by "silence" wasn't really silence, as in by yourself or ONLY solo. You could be by yourself, but when I meant silence, I meant not showing off that you are giving or helping others. There are some instances when people just don't understand you as a person, just like this video, only to find out that all this time you have been using all your resources to give back to those who really needed it. That's what I meant by silence. I think we both are talking about similar things, but are just saying it in a different way. Haha!
***** Sorry, it's still Aaron. I'm using my friends account right now because I'm helping her out with something. It gets confusing and I keep forgetting when I'm on her account. lol
AaronZimbabwe Leung Yes it matters, specially when you're a child and you're developing your moral values ! They don't learn from your silence ! Kids want to be like Justin Bieber, play GTA5 and kill players online ! They don't enjoy nature, they spend their entire weekends on a bloody room and everyone think it's fine ! These caring people should be on the news, radios, magazines talking about what really makes someone happy !
most of us dont realise the value of charity... and also.. some of us.. keeps on blaming our parents for not being rich or well off!! all of us should watch this and learn something!! anyways.. superb short film..brought tears... nice thought!! thumbs for the director!!
The video is very touching, from the words given by the papa to his son about being rich not only from what we have but how much we give. It makes us always remember that even though we live well, do not forget to give alms even if it is just a little.
My father has passed away. That's why this film can make me cry. There are so many valuable lessons. Like the lesson to appreciate parents while they are still around
This reminds me of my father. When I grow up he is my hero. But once I grew up I didn't have time for my father. I didn't have time to talk to him. Rarely gone home. Suddenly he died. My entire soul trembled. I suddenly stated to remember how he fed me, how he taught me. And I was ashamed for all the ignorance and carelessness of mine. I wish to have a second chance in exchange for anything belongs to me. Rest in peace my father. I'm sorry. I love you.. Tx for the lovely post..
This movie is very heartfelt and offers many lessons. Many of us compete to "get" without realizing that we have not "given" enough. And can also remind someone of their parents, especially their father. I was really touched by this film, it reminded me me of my father.
After watching this video, I learned a dad is a very important person in your life for if it was not for him you couldn’t be where you are now. Learn to appreciate your fathers for whatever good they do and do not forget them after being the successful person you have always wanted to be in life.

This video has subconsciously impacted our live because by sharing you will never be poor. And the right time to share is when you are lacking for charity. In fact, force yourself to be able to share every day. It doesn't always have to be material, it can also be with the services we have
My original family name was also Lim. I know there maybe millions around the world whose surname is Lim. But my major believe is exactly the same as his father's is, I'm a Buddhist. Albeit my birth surname is in Thai as it was changed to in over a century ago as always a thing supposed to be here, I'm proud to be one of Lim family, and so proud to believe like his father does. In Buddhism, You become a rich person because you donated in past lives. If while you donated you've made wishes for only to be rich, you'll get very rich, but your mentality won't develop as a result of those donations because mental development wasn't what you wish for. You maybe very rich but that doesn't mean you're the happiest person. In contrast, if while you're donating you think only to make people happy, you'll become a marvelous person whose heart is of gold and who would become a refuge for mass of suffering people from then and even in the further lives. The Buddha himself started his journey to become a Buddha via giving his all to people.
only thing that bothers me a bit is the son's attitude in the beginning, the father worked hard already to get him into school, drives him there daily, offers money in case he needs some, doesn't spend money for himself (drinking, drugs,...) and he just keeps ignoring him, many other kids would probably wish for such a father instead, that "I wasn't happy / I didn't think he was smart / ..." lines kinda made the son look like a spoiled brat for me but all in all a very good idea, inspiring and definetely worth watching
As a kid do you really know what is going on? In the video, the son didn't know about his dad's volunteer efforts or the donations "they" contributed. Look how disappointed when the son was told that the book marker "You will be a great man" wasn't for him.
Victor Li yeah that's true, but I meant something like where the dad carried stuff around, tried to give away flyers or gave the son pocket money, no helping, no thank you, nothing.
metalhoodmetalhood2 Unfortunately, thats how a lot of kids are nowadays. I see a lot of parents carrying tons of bags of groceries and the kids just walk behind them not willing to help at all.
Yes this father was a failure.... not because he was poor and had a physical hard job. He was wrong by not teaching his son to be proud of himself, while he was still alive. A father is supposed to teach these values to his child , while he is still alive , and not let him discover it , or guess it, when It is too late. Why did he hid the charity work from his son, instead of showing this good example of " success" ? How could a little boy understand why the father was taking his pocket money ? This where the father failed. No wonder why his son did not visit him.
I'm sorry the whole time I was mad st the son because he was so ungrateful and never cared for his father at all until his older age and this makes me think these kids these days.
Saqi Saud I'm asian though. xD But I grew up in Germany, I don't know the feeling, I think. My parents told me a few stories about their childhood and youth in Vietnam. It was a hard time!
Saqi Saud - not all americans have it easy. so many are living in poverty here... I think the message of this film is beautiful and universal to the goodness that mankind is capable. Let's not drag it down with racist or anti-american bigotry. There are wealth and selfish people in all parts of the world, yes some more than others.... but you're entitled to your opinion. It's funny though, I thought I'd see nothing but nice comments here, shame its devolved in to this kind of talk.
I had a dad but I never spoke to him I never wanted to be near to him he always wanted to spoke to me but I always yell at him I didn't like him at all I don't know why.... He made me and my mom live in a city while he was living in a village of thinking me to get better education in the city I never knew that I was such a fool that time I hate myself for that now he is heaven I don't know what to say I am so sorry father I am sorry.....
This short film is very heart touching. We are taught to always give to other people, because rich people are not people who have a lot of money but people who give a lot.
i have no father when i 7 years old, this make me hurts im crying . idk how felt have father , dont make ur father or mom cry. you never think of people who dont have them. my mother struggling for a live her child, she's always crying alone and i know it. love ur parents because they're make home living.
I almost teared after this. It was so emotional and relatable. I’m 13 years old, and my dad is going to pass in about 7 years. This made me think of the sacrifices he had made just for me and my sister to be happy. I really hope that something can cure is illness and he can then live longer, as he was a good man, that strived to be the best in everything he does, although nothing is really perfect.
I am a Daddy's Girl, I admit he made me cry but he made me laugh more, I admit he was always lecturing me about things but he teaches me more about how to be the best person I could be, I admit that he was a bad boy before but he became a good father, he forgot all his bad habits just so he can fulfill his duty and responsibility of becoming a good Father. And I'm proud to say that I don't like my father but I loved him so much and I always will. And I'm afraid that he's getting older and weaker. I won't waste a second laughing with him. But I will never forget saying I love you to my father every morning, noon, afternoon, night even dawn I guess. And I would always give him haircuts so he wouldn't waste a small amont of money for cutting a small amount of hair. I would do everything for my dad. Because he is my hero, my boyfriend and my life. So I thank God for giving me such an amazing person. I love you Dad💛
Yes it can, but forgiving is important. His father did a lot more positive things than that for his son. I mean, my mom abused me and STILL abuses me but I still forgive her. I don't know... It's just an inspirational story
kira0080 It's not about being perfect. It's realising the impact your actions can have on others, no matter who they are. How would the father feel if he saw the kid make a card saying,"You're such an amazing father!" then having it taken from his hands with,"It's not for you."?
Mizuki Cara You're a bigger person than I am, perhaps. Basic respect is a given, if the other person's behavior shows it's not justified, I'll revoke any positive feeling because the person doesn't deserve it. People will treat you as you allow them to. It took me years to learn this precious lesson. Perhaps you're financially dependent or there are circumstances that will not let you demand better behavior from your mother. Whatever it is, I hope things will improve for you.
Maybe he wanted to make his son feel that he had to prove himself. Feel that he had to prove that he WILL become successful and inspire him to study hard and live a better life than his father did. Sometimes too much praise leads to complacency/ a feeling of entitlement or arrogance.
Great message, but it’s sort of making the audience an emotional hostage. Why did the father tell the son, “That’s not for you” when he saw the card saying he’ll be a great man one day? The way he said that would make any child feel bad. That was deceptive. It would’ve been better had the father actively included the son in the “giving life” he was leading. Yeah, the son had a negative attitude, but where is the footage of the father actively teaching the son those values? What gave him the negative attitude? How did the son go through his entire childhood with such a great man...and see no evidence that he was great? Something about the way this story was told leaves questions.
My didn't even praised about me in my whole childhood bcuz our society is not that much modern one like othy societies where father's understanding one praise even say sorry whenever they make mistakes. He always yelled at me for not focusing in studies for not being good in studies, always compared with other students, basically he was a verbally abusive person & sometimes physically everytime he use to say you are good for nothing, you can't achieve anything in life, you will nothing in life. In my case were in a good condition but still we struggled bcuz my have father have two jobless brother & their family to look up, sometimes they used to get the nicest things & we would shop from small shops lived a lower middle class life, I didn't buy gadgets, computer or any costly things that kids use to buy in childhood. don't have any complain bcuz somehow I was still lucky that I was getting the basic needs, care which some kids like orphans don't get some even get the worst childhood like stepkids & slum area kids.

Well I am from India and we celebrate a festival here called 'Diwali' which is like the Americans' Christmas when it comes to decorations and buying sweets and the like. Everybody tries their hardest to make their home look good, wear high end clothes and stuff. The rich celebrate it quite good, even the middle class people celebrate it fine but poor and homeless people aren't fortunate enough to celebrate it in a good way. I got my first pay at a new job after being unemployed for 3 months and my father asked me to give him 2000 rupees for a new pair of clothes and I was fine with it. When I told him that I will go along with him he refused multiple times then I asked him why he was refusing so much? He told the truth that he needed money to buy sweet for an institution which takes care of handicapped children. He wore his old clothes and chose to buy sweets for the children instead. I not only felt proud about my father but also myself for not thinking about spending the money for children. I did not tell this to many people in real life because it didn't feel right to expect people to praise you by telling them yourself. I am saying this here because my dad is a big inspiration for me. The joy of giving is surely something which is out of this world.
This movie taught us to share more with others. But what we regret is that the father did not share his love with his son so that the son grew up misunderstanding his father. The father should have told and invited his son to participate when he shared good things with others, maybe it would have been better and there would be no regrets for both of them. Overall the movie was very memorable.
What a touching story, a father who educates his child to be better in his own way, even though his child opposes his teachings, he can become a better person.
i dont see how he was a bad father, except that moment when he told his son "this isn't for you" about that note. Should've given it to his son and made another one for the boy at the orphanage/hospital.
not a bad bad father but he didnt connect with his son, which turned out that his son neglected him, due to the fact that he was thinking his father didnt like him/care of him as much. Overall 50/50,..
The guy is was prideful. I really feel touched by his dad. So what if he didn’t receive much education? He was selfless and gave all he had to his Son and to others too. This made me tear
Often, we do not realize how precious someone is until they are gone. This video taught me how important it is to cherish every moment we have with our loved ones.
One of the most inspirational stories I truly felt sorry for the boy when his father made the book mark and he thought it was for him. Why did he not let his son have it and make a new one instead of make him feel so very sad.
Still, he saw his kid was sad and could have made a bookmark for him, anyway don't want to be critical about this video because either way the message was clear and powerful and should be shared.
If you are a kind person, please show your kind to your child too, they are need you attention, and your love too. They are your child. Give them enough love so they can understand the condition.
I'm not the type of guy, who would cry or get tears on random things. Yet this short film left me with more tears than I tought. I'm becoming weak am I? :D

Yes
Ok
no one need to be rich it doesn't wanted
But kindness is makes much much more happy to us and who the person getting our kindness than money ! So in my vision always a person with like this kindness is more richer than the person with money !
Every father and mother are priceless
Yes
Not all !
Yes
being rich is not about how much you have..but how much you can give! life time insperation for me!
Lalit mishra I hope you will do the same.
the definition of rich is LITERALLY: "having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy."
Yeah but being rich makes it easier to be happy
One of the most heart touching short films ... I literally cried :') You taught me a great lesson today that "Being rich is not about how much you have, but how much you give". 🖤
This movie teaches us to always be grateful for what we have today. We must always respect and appreciate our parents.
This video also reminds us of our parents who have tried to do the best for us. For example, like in the movie a father can set a good example for his son, and we as children must also remember that he has guided us to be what we are today. And after seeing the movie we know that "Wealth is not all about material but the real wealth is the wealth of the heart."
Very touching story but... the father did not prioritize his son in the first place... they could have a good relationship rather than a trophy.
im glad you posted this i was thinking the same thing. maybe he was a good man but a foolish father- why not take his son to one of the many outings he was on? why not involve him instead of teach him vague lessons with no actions or examples behind them...
He take care of his son, but the father did think that his son, doesn't need him like the other children. That is a bad father, but a nice person?
Always.
I was in tears. Such an emotional video. Hats off to the creator.
Your parents are the most treasured people in your life. Enjoy your time with them cause they won't last long.
I felt the same way..
I agree with you. The dad was too busy enriching other people's lives and hearts and get a great deal of gratification out of that, but he failed to enrich his own child's life with the same pleasure
Oh my gosh!!! Yes, yes and TRIPLE yes!!! I totally agree!!
the problem is that people do mistakes in real life , they really do; and this father wasn't a perfect father, he was just a normal perso who makes a lot of mistakes , hidding his truth from his son was a mistake , that doesn't make him any less than a great father ...
however , the son didn't show any sign of gratitude to his father not even a little and this was the real tragedy in the senario .. if only he cared more of his father he might have had the chance to be part of the good work his father did ..
saddly the world is not what we think it should be , the world is what it is and that is the wisdom of life ...
such stories happen every where all the time , and this is a great film that spots the light on this hidden part of humanity that cinamas normally don't just because it doesn't sell tickets !
And that's a shitty way of saying goodbye.
a very touching video. thank you for this :)

And we can realize that being wealthy is not just about how much we have, but rather about how much we are willing to give.
A wonderful, touching and inspiring short film. For those giving to a good cause, you are richer than you think!
That's it. =]
*****
Oh yeah. Definitely. lol I didn't mean that the only way to be a selfless person is to give in silence. Of course it could be in "silence" or using the media to your advantage. My post was a reply to how the original poster phrased the message. I didn't believe it was always about the hearing yourself in the news, radio, newspaper, but how you use those resources to your advantage. =]
Also, what I meant by "silence" wasn't really silence, as in by yourself or ONLY solo. Haha!
*****
Sorry, it's still Aaron.

My father has passed away. That's why this film can make me cry. There are so many valuable lessons. Like the lesson to appreciate parents while they are still around
made me cry. such a strong message!
I cried. I thought about what I do for the world, for my community, and for those in need and I found myself lacking. I will make a difference today.
This movie is very heartfelt and offers many lessons.
Many of us compete to "get" without realizing that we have not "given" enough. And can also remind someone of their parents, especially their father. I was really touched by this film, it reminded me me of my father.
This immediately gone into my favorites, please don't ever delete this video ever.
After watching this video, I learned a dad is a very important person in your life for if it was not for him you couldn’t be where you are now. Learn to appreciate your fathers for whatever good they do and do not forget them after being the successful person you have always wanted to be in life.
I have a sentence meaning to this video. Just one sentence. “ *Bad start, happy ending. Bad relationship, Sad Recognition.* “
The film was very touching. There are many positive things that can be learned for our learning in everyday life, especially respecting other people.

The Buddha himself started his journey to become a Buddha via giving his all to people.
no matter how many time i watch this, i still can't stop crying
wonderfully produced :D Thank you so much for those 7 minutes - they were the best of the week.
only thing that bothers me a bit is the son's attitude in the beginning, the father worked hard already to get him into school, drives him there daily, offers money in case he needs some, doesn't spend money for himself (drinking, drugs,...) and he just keeps ignoring him, many other kids would probably wish for such a father instead, that "I wasn't happy / I didn't think he was smart / ..." lines kinda made the son look like a spoiled brat for me
but all in all a very good idea, inspiring and definetely worth watching
As a kid do you really know what is going on? In the video, the son didn't know about his dad's volunteer efforts or the donations "they" contributed. Look how disappointed when the son was told that the book marker "You will be a great man" wasn't for him.
WatersunLuke good point, could be on purpose indeed!
Victor Li yeah that's true, but I meant something like where the dad carried stuff around, tried to give away flyers or gave the son pocket money, no helping, no thank you, nothing.
metalhoodmetalhood2 Unfortunately, thats how a lot of kids are nowadays. I see a lot of parents carrying tons of bags of groceries and the kids just walk behind them not willing to help at all.

well, his son was at school when he spent time with those kids.. That's what I thought more or less

This made me think of the sacrifices he had made just for me and my sister to be happy. It is a wonderful short movie. The plot was so mindful and can make the viewers feel touched😢😢😢

" Being rich is not about how much you have , but about how much you can give❤ "
Yeah 😊
The mistake the father made here was taking the card from the boy. Small hurtful actions like that can scar a child for life.
Yes it can, but forgiving is important. His father did a lot more positive things than that for his son. I mean, my mom abused me and STILL abuses me but I still forgive her. I don't know... It's just an inspirational story
No parent is perfect.
kira0080 It's not about being perfect.

"Being rich is not about how much you have but how much you can give" very nice story, thank you for sharing
Rumah Bermain Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for more!
these onions man...
Damn ninjas :x
Awesome film. I almost thought this was going to be an insurance commercial like the one about the little girl that didn't like her deaf father.
What a touching story, a father who educates his child to be better in his own way, even though his child opposes his teachings, he can become a better person.
Incredible video. It hit me right in the feels.
So sad
A perfect reason why it is so important to cherish certain people while you have them...
@@karispark8222 it's not a sad story it's an inspiring one

This film is really hard to watch with my eyes watering up so much. Be right back gonna go punch a brick wall.
DudeWithAHighKD lol
This was very beautiful :)) An inspirational video indeed.
Danielle Choi share this to your friends and family :)
This video is very educational to always prioritize parents above anything else
Sentimental? Yes but also quite inspirational and it made me cry. Nothing wrong with that :)
A BAD FATHER! on the other hand, a nicest man on earth!!.
From my opinion, family comes first...
i dont see how he was a bad father, except that moment when he told his son "this isn't for you" about that note. Should've given it to his son and made another one for the boy at the orphanage/hospital.
not a bad bad father but he didnt connect with his son, which turned out that his son neglected him, due to the fact that he was thinking his father didnt like him/care of him as much.
Overall 50/50,..
rcmanization he neglected his son in the first place.. :(
He did not neglect his son, he taught him how to be self sufficient
THe best dad for every child can have.
The guy is was prideful. I really feel touched by his dad. So what if he didn’t receive much education? He was selfless and gave all he had to his Son and to others too. This made me tear
Often, we do not realize how precious someone is until they are gone. This video taught me how important it is to cherish every moment we have with our loved ones.
agreed, this is fantastic work! The true example in great film making
Made me cry... This was great...
One of the most inspirational stories I truly felt sorry for the boy when his father made the book mark and he thought it was for him. Why did he not let his son have it and make a new one instead of make him feel so very sad.
***** you are extremely correct. :)
Still, he saw his kid was sad and could have made a bookmark for him, anyway don't want to be critical about this video because either way the message was clear and powerful and should be shared.
Often we do to strangers what we dont do to the closest ones...
@@felicidadejs omg so true
If you are a kind person, please show your kind to your child too, they are need you attention, and your love too. They are your child. Give them enough love so they can understand the condition.
I'm not the type of guy, who would cry or get tears on random things. Yet this short film left me with more tears than I tought. I'm becoming weak am I? :D
real men cry.. ;)
Nah, its normal to feel. Even for men, its makes us human ;)
crying doesn't make you weak.
Touched. Sometimes I act like this to my father.
without realizing it my tears flowed, even though I was eating while watching this video. My dad is my Hero :')
Being selfless is not shameful
