After some time the first passenger plane was removed or the Indian Air Force. Flying three plane delta formation at night time did a lot of cool feat.
When I read the headline five Zephyrs flying in formation the first thing that came to mind was the 1947 report by Kenneth Arnold of those U.F.O's he saw and how he said they were flying in formation and looked like a saucer skipping on water. Great video.
Hello, how are you ? I'm Brazilian, I really liked your videos. Congratulations. I would like to know what the configuration of the electric you use, motor, esc and propeller. I'm in the mood to do fpv I do not know which equipment to use, how big is this zagi wing. Thank you. hug
Most people runs zephs with 2x 4s 3000mah. So 4s 6000mah total. The flight times completely range on the type of flying you do. You can cruise with 10-15 amps, so times range from 40 mins to 15 mins.
Not all planes Have rudders, elevators, etc. Many wing style planes do not have rudders, just like this Zephyr. Its Yank and Bank, Ailerons and Elevator. Aka (Elavons*). This can hinder its abilities, but I have built plenty of planes without rudder, they fly great. You may wanna check out "Thrust vectoring" its been used to give wings like the Zephyr a rudder like control. Hope I helped
I'm a new heli pilot so i'm not familiar with these things (Flying with no rudder is a foreign concept =P ). What kind of batteries do these wings commonly carry and what's the typical flight time?
awsome video ! nice flight! i just have one question . when i do fpv with my google in winter . my glasses goes all foggy and sh..t . what can i do to prevent thise to happen again ?
Wear the goggles around your neck for 10 minutes or so before flying. It warms them up to prevent fogging. Also you can try sticking bandaids on the inside of the light guard. Those two tricks combined make my goggles completely fog free.
Zephyrs are built for strenght and durability, they don't have a rudder. Though I know what you mean, this was only the first day we tried it. Cheers from the 'drone squadron bee swarm' ;)
Yeh we had three up in the air and that took some doing due to video crossovers etc etc. (Check out the Mam Tor video I have). There is at least 15 people coming so far but we are hoping to get as many in the sky as possible!!! Wonder if we can match / beat your five!?!?!?
+joel s Zephyrs are by Team Black Sheep (TBS) they also have two other designs, another fixed wing, and a multirotor. A simple Google/TH-cam search will set you on the correct path. ;)
These planes look cheap and easy to use for the average person, what kind of gear do I need to view so far and have control over it like these planes, I live in a forest with plenty of canyons and it would be a great way to explore
+Optionalcoast74 You're correct as well. It really depends on the quality of gear you get. I was just talking from personal experience of building planes with similar gear. Cheers!
Everyone is commenting "where is the formation" and yes, technically formation flying is a five point star but almost everyone knows that formation flying with rc is just following each other.
Guys,,, impressive swarm of wings ...you all had fun...but thats not formation flying...I call it a 'cluster'. you have to fly at exactly same speed...or at higher alpha and use the wing angle as brakes to maintain exact distance.. one has to use rudder also to move side to side for alignment...so vids don't roll back and forth... bank and yank doesn't work in formation flying...only rudder and elevator..with aileron to lock horizon.
That's because of the video stabilization. Search for zephyr raw footage. Smaller ones are more wobbly, though only in windy conditions. In nice conditions smaller ones are also amazingly stable. Check out happy fliers.
I want to know all the necessary equipment to use the FPV. antenna, amplifier ... Besides the radio TX and RX. what equipment I use. Please give me a list
There are a zillion ways to do it depending on what range and flying style you prefer. My own set up is: EZUHF w/diversity Rx and TX for the Futaba radio My Fly Dream AP RMRC 1300 RX LAWMATE TX 1300/1000 MW Blue beam Ultra antennas Plus the usual other RC / AV equipment. Oh and a HAM license: KM4FWJ Alternatively you can use other easier and non HAM set ups (5.8 for VTX and 2400 GHZ for Futaba) but range and penetration through objects will suffer greatly.
I am still working on getting the autopilot and video clarity improved before I go beyond sight. I was told similar setups have made 30-45+ Miles but at a minimum I expect 15 miles as is easy. I'll need to tweak things to achieve the longer ranges reliably is my guess. Baby steps...
Now thats how you make a fpv video, great scenery, fantastic footage and bangin dubstep! Not hard to do guys, keep up with this team!!!!!
Where all the guys launch near the beginning is so cool. I guessing not planned, just happened which makes it even better.
That low flying is unbeleivable! Really awesome flying, and good "camera work".
Best of FPV list winner! Awesome vid gents!
Hey, thank you for all the kind comments, and for posting it on your page, awesome! :) Real nice to hear you enjoyed the videos!! Cheers
1:53 is totally my favorite bit. Works with the music so damn well.
RC has never been so cool
And it keeps getting better 😌
After some time the first passenger plane was removed or the Indian Air Force. Flying three plane delta formation at night time did a lot of cool feat.
Excellent quality and flying. What camera is used on the nose of the Zephyrs?
Yep thats cool....... wait for the UK version of this at Easter!!!! Massive UK FPV meet coming up at the Lake District. IT IS GOING TO BE EPIC!!!!!
When I read the headline five Zephyrs flying in formation the first thing that came to mind was the 1947 report by Kenneth Arnold of those U.F.O's he saw and how he said they were flying in formation and looked like a saucer skipping on water. Great video.
what combination motor+esc did you use? weight of wing?battery?
Kick ass video! Thanks for sharing. Love learn more about your build. Size, components, etc. where can I find info?

That looks like heaps of fun.
Two questions: what kind of cameras are mounted to the planes and what kind of high-power transmitters are being used?
Such a great FPV clip.. I love it..
Right! It's the Multiplex Royalpro 16.
Crazy, never saw so many Zephyr in the air together ! Again, great video !
Very cool, love it great job, keep on flyin, from your friend in BC Canada
very nice
Which video frequencies were used? I see all the Yagi's, no left hand and right hand CP.

This MUST be the reason for dubstep. Perfect video IMO. Great thanks I needed a reminder why i need to finish my POV Zagi 60
Please tell me where i can buy a set just like that! >>> ????? I am sold!!! AMAZING!!! I LIKE!!!
team-blacksheep.com ;)
I want more more more....much more !!
Awesome video guys !!
That was cool. Shared it. Thanks Brian.
Some please tell me what the music is?(composer? track name?) love it!!! Definitely gets me pumped up to fly a Zephyr in the snow! Great video!
Wow great perspectives!!
Esta muy bueno el video de los ala volante !!
All FPV at the same time? Can you elaborate on your frequency separation so I can try this?
Its look amazing in 2023
Where can i get building plans for that wing =) And what is the size of the wings in the video? SuperGreat video by the way =)
Nickb fpv Thanks! It's 1.6 meters, and it's the old TBS Zephyr 1. Check out the team blacksheep website
Ok.. thank you :)
Great flying guys. Just bought a Disco. Waiting for it to arrive. Maybe I can join you next time!

hello ! I love your video ;)
But what type of antenna do you use ? and what RX/TX FPV System ?
I'm a new heli pilot so i'm not familiar with these things (Flying with no rudder is a foreign concept =P ). What kind of batteries do these wings commonly carry and what's the typical flight time?
What software and settings did you use for stabilising the GoPro footage ..?
Very nice flying and filming - Thanks for sharing!

Superbe ces vols en équipe.

The visuals and the flying was so good that I could tolerate the music quite well I must say.
Sick!! What types of video did you use 1.3ghz and did you have any problems?
Like!!
how long will the battery to the delta wings and batteries used fpv
Zephyrs are great platforms and they are no slouch!
Zephyrs are built for strenght and durability, they don't have a rudder. Though I know what you mean, this was only the first day we tried it.
Cheers from the 'drone squadron bee swarm' ;)
When are you FPV guys going to start racing these things?
Great flying and great video, bravo!! and thank you... :)
Insane. Great job guys!
Very nice footage. I'd love to see future videos when you've had more formation practice.
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing!
All the same color , I would have gotten lost . Awesome flight
with wich camera did you film? looks awesome! :)
Simply AMAZING!!
Why not 10? Why 5 only?
Muito legal publiquem projetos .
That's right. We roll 2 x 3300mAh, but times are still as you mentioned.
Yeh we had three up in the air and that took some doing due to video crossovers etc etc. (Check out the Mam Tor video I have). There is at least 15 people coming so far but we are hoping to get as many in the sky as possible!!! Wonder if we can match / beat your five!?!?!?
Great work!
I just *LOVE* that nonchalant, "Grab the nose and toss it up" launch at 3:17. I really need to teach myself that! :-)
amigos una consulta ;de cuantos kv es el motor y la bateria.
Are they silent?do you fly them at night?
Just came back to watch this video for the 3rd time today... I am just... this is.... well u know... Totally cool ;D
Can I ask what kind of glider is that and where can I buy one. Thanks
+joel s Zephyrs are by Team Black Sheep (TBS) they also have two other designs, another fixed wing, and a multirotor. A simple Google/TH-cam search will set you on the correct path. ;)
This is so incredible. Fantastic
What is that awesome music?
Formation? Who cares! Kick ass video and top flying guys. Rock on!
Of course! Where is formation?
They are in formation, Loose Pack.
It's your mind that read "Formation" and assumed tight wing tip to tip formation.
what long range system is the guy with Turnigy 9x using? Thanks!
it looks like the ez uhf system from get fpv.
what song is this? Awesome video!
These planes look cheap and easy to use for the average person, what kind of gear do I need to view so far and have control over it like these planes, I live in a forest with plenty of canyons and it would be a great way to explore
$400 if you find a cheap plane but most likely more
+Optionalcoast74 Around $1000 for just the plane. If you don't have any gear at all, you can expect at least $2000 + starting from scratch...
Carter Hansen yeah i mabey underestimated $700-800
+Optionalcoast74 You're correct as well. It really depends on the quality of gear you get. I was just talking from personal experience of building planes with similar gear. Cheers!
Carter Hansen I seen a wing on ebay which folded up in the center and came in a bag, seems OK but you had to add the hardware, that is next on my list
Were can I get the soundtrack from the video?????????????
Cool video guys!
Can I join you guys with my Zephyr? :p Where do you fly?
Everyone is commenting "where is the formation" and yes, technically formation flying is a five point star but almost everyone knows that formation flying with rc is just following each other.
Ghostrider03z no people actually do formations with rc
The title promises "perfect formation" We all know what this looks like.
AWESOME! You guys Rock!

Now that was COOL!!
Just like the Snow Birds very nice
cool video dudes!
Are these wings flying with some kind of stabilizer or flight controller?
jubifpv Nope, just thumbs.
Thats amazing. The footage looks so damn stable like from a stabilized platform! Is that because of the size of the wings? I think the smaller ones (
That's because of the video stabilization. Search for zephyr raw footage. Smaller ones are more wobbly, though only in windy conditions. In nice conditions smaller ones are also amazingly stable. Check out happy fliers.
TMK Films subbed! Thanks for the Info. Which software do you use? Sth like reelsteady?
jubifpv Just basic FCPX stabilization. :)
Nice Z2 Swarm!
Bravo trop beau.
There's 6 of those planes on the thumbnail. What's going on? ;)
I want to know all the necessary equipment to use the FPV. antenna, amplifier ... Besides the radio TX and RX. what equipment I use.

Mark R So what kind of range do you get with that setup? What's the best range a guy could get without a ham license? I think it's 1 watt and less.
I am still working on getting the autopilot and video clarity improved before I go beyond sight. I was told similar setups have made 30-45+ Miles but at a minimum I expect 15 miles as is easy. I'll need to tweak things to achieve the longer ranges reliably is my guess. Baby steps...
Sounds cool!! How massive? At some point it can get pretty nasty with many LRS and VTX on. :)
Love it! you guys rocked it!
superbe !! what is the music please ? Thank for that ;)
nice video, nice relax.
Royal EVO ;) It's great
Still waiting to see the formation......
You mean at 3:13? We were updating an EzUHF, you can see the Zeph on the back of the car. Usually we don't piss against our own cars.. ;)
Squaddddd goals
SUPER VIDEO !!!!
How big are those zephyrs
Where is the rudder on the Zephyr?...
Który pajac lata na aparaturze turningy 9x?
in der Musik etwas vergriffen?
Nice clip guys ....
Must have missed the part where they fly in formation ...
yeah that's what I was thinking teamblacksheep now that's formation flying
It happens at 4:18
