How do you create datapacks? do you know how to code in Java or do you use Lua, I read that in a website somewhere, I don't know either but interested in learning how to make data-packs and plugins for Minecraft Java.

I accidentally uploaded an old version of the datapack that lacked Urbosa, Mipha, wall climbing, and disabled everything that required stamina. I uploaded the most recent version, let me know if there are any more issues!
@@Howzieky you could potentially add a battle system like the game where it teleports you at any given random time like in the game and also you could choose to make a shop like the game. Instead of going in and choosing where to go you stand in one place and all that’s needed is to press buttons. There is also a genocide route so you can make it so you one hit some bosses like the game, areas where there is normally non fightable monsters they are not there and there is also some cutscenes in the game so that could be difficult to make.
This is a great video! I love that you show the process of figuring it out yourself, it's inspiring, especially from the perspective of someone trying to learn minecraft programming myself. Thanks!

Howzieky, will this work in multiplayer? It's pretty much impossible to slow down time for the shooter but keep time going for the players they are shooting at. So, will the other players be slown down in time and just have to sit there and take the hits from the player that is shooting at them? This is awesome and you have put so much time into it but I'm a little worried about multiplayer. This isn't criticism btw this is a question :)
Hey, thanks for the comment! This will work in multiplayer, but only in the sense that it won't break or error. I made this with single player in mind, but I added safeguards for when multiple people are online. But for actual functionality, it doesn't work. Players won't freeze in slow motion or when hit by ice arrows. I could give players slowness, but there's so much I can't slow down, like bow draw speed. I'm always open to suggestions! All players could use elemental arrows, though, in regular speed
This is good criticism. It's one of my least favorite things about this video, but it just means I can always improve! I'm hoping the "15 Tricks" video was better in this regard.
I understand if you don’t want this but I have another idea for you. Fallout. We have a fallout map in minecraft but we have no vats or repairable armour if it’s broken in game
I'm always down for new ideas! I've never played Fallout. If I'm looking for new mechanics to recreate in Minecraft, what would be the best place for me to search? Know of a specific game that would be good? Aren't there multiple Fallout games?
You took a game that you liked and are trying to replicate that in Mincecraft, that's awesome, I like age of empires and recently started Minecraft and am doing videos on them, this gives me inspiration to try to replicate by coding, just learning how to code too so its a really long term project but I'm glad I found inspiration here.
I had an idea today by seeing that someone recreated the entire geography of breath (the bread pirate) talked about it of the wild basically all the regions just without buildings and i thought maybe recreating breath of the wild in minecraft would be an amazingly trendy thing like when the zelda mod came out in like 2014-ish but even more so. all the minecraft mod pack letsplayers would go wild. I want it so bad my child hood of looking up zelda mod minecraft is making me all giddy about that video and such
I think that if I can get actual combat working, I might just make a real, playable map too! And who knows, once the runes are all working then I could make those puzzle shrines
@@Howzieky the video i'm pretty sure shows a way to download the map so you could use the great ple- idk how to spell it, for your shrines and honestly if I could do it, being the builder I am I would do the whole great ple- again... for you like the temple of time and such, but I don't play java sadly

That's true, the levitation effect cancels knockback. I'm not too stressed about it though, because I don't think I've ever taken fall damage out of bullet time before in botw. I've actually never thought about it before, but all you have to do is use the paraglider for one frame and your fall damage is reset. Which means it's basically trivial in botw, if you have the paraglider. Idk. If some other people respond to this comment and say it's important to them anyway, I'll figure something out
@Howzieky It still doesn’t work. Can you try to see what the problem is? Or have a tutorial on how to use the data pack correctly? I think I’m doing it right because I see the data pack. It just keeps saying “Older version”.
Hey I've downloaded this and revalis gale and the paraglider work fine, but the bullet time doesn't at all. The stamina bar is there but fully depleted. If you have any idea on how to fix plz tell me I think it's amazing what you've done but im sad I can't use it
Are you on the ground when the stamina is out? It only recharges when you're on the ground. If it still doesn't work, open your F3 menu and find the line that says "ms tick". What number does it say there?
@@Howzieky yeah i am on the ground with the stamina it stays 'grayed out' regardless of where I am however. Im not on the pc rn but I checked earlier and it was ≈15. Thanks for responding man and thanks for all your work

Hey! I got the pack successfully added into my world, used /datapack enable to enable it, and it shows as loaded in the world. However, it's not doing anything. Any possibilities of things I did wrong?
@@Howzieky I loaded it by putting it in the datapacks folder of my Minecraft world, there didn't appear to be a way to load it in-game. I did, however, do /reload.

I found out last night that elemental arrows are broken on 1.19. everything else should work, you just need to run "/function botw:setup/add_link", click the button in chat, then run "/reload" for good measure

In the new snapshots (since 24w06a) you can directly control gravity with an attribute, so I imagine this has just gotten way simpler

when you sprint the stamina should go down but when your walking the will not go down instead it will regenarate if you used it

I had to store the nbt data of the arrow and the player into their own scoreboard values, subtract them, then store the result back into the arrow

As of 1.17, yes, in a way! Bullet time no longer uses villagers

What version is the Data Pack on? (1.16.3, 1.16.4, that stuff...)

Yeah, my secret attempt at the bullet time bounce glitch in botw ;) that said, if people complain, I'll take it back out

Does this work on Minecraft PE? I’m using an iPhone so I can also download mods through files easily right?
It's a datapack, not a mod. So it will only work on java, sadly
