In the teen Titans show from 2003 they made him a weird creepy martial artist who wanted an apprentice to try to I guess take over the world or just be an unopposed power that does evil s***. But they made it seem as though he never wants to show his face even though in the comics he would regularly take us helmet off and like he was in the military before he became a mercenary so you can look up who he is He's not trying to really hide who he is necessarily he wears a mask as part of his outfit for face protection. And beside that's black is the side of his face that has the eye that's missing so that's why that's black because there's no eye hole in it. It's just funny. They also hit drastically change what his motivations are in that show.
