Daniel Radcliffe seems an excellent actor, but above all, I think it reflects an impressive human warmth. I believe that its simplicity and honesty are its main characteristics. He has managed to keep his feet on the ground and fame has not gone to his head. That has made a great human being. Despite the difficulties he suffered during the filming of Harry Potter and his addiction to alcohol in his teens, he knew how to overcome them. I think he has been an actor who has matured and, although he is remembered especially for his role in Harry Potter, he has been able to play other roles with professionalism. I wish Daniel many successes in his personal and professional life. Its simplicity is what makes it, without a doubt, a great actor and, above all, a good human being.
I remember how surprised I was when he took on How to Succeed in Business on Broadway, but from some clips that I had watched, he must have been amazing. Kudos to him for constantly challenging himself to try different things
I saw the musical during Daniel's run, and he did indeed master everything for his role. There were a few moments where J.Pierrepont broke the 4th wall & the audience reaction heightened the atmosphere of fun. I exited the Hirschfeld Theatre hoping the producers would have arranged a filmed performance as they were starting to do with other popular Broadway plays / musicals to air on public television here in the US (see also: National Theatre Live in UK). At the very least, I wish the cinema viewing platform had been better established in 2011 so more folks could have paid to see a performance HTSIB in their local cinema.
saw it twice because I was in love with him at the time but what an incredibly brave thing to do. Have to really admire him for that. Poor Richard Griffith should have won every award going as those monologues were immense. RIP Richard.
This guy is one of the sweetest kids in the business. If someone was interrupting the play the way he described those girls, I’d murder them. That’s not just bad theatre etiquette, it’s the lack of any kind of respect or decency. And he can still find empathy for the fans. The boy is a legend!
I really wish there was a DVD of Equus, cos it sounds soooo good and God knows when I'll be able to make it to West End, IF they are even ever gonna redo the play with Daniel >_>
Thank you for making these videos - I appreciate the absence of music and any plugins, and the overall format. Although, Sam, it would be great if you didn't interrupt the interviewer occasionally and let him finish his thoughts.
Yes, yes, I love this series, love the talks, the format, ALL. ....but hey, wait, is no one going to address the OWL COMMENT.... ? A REAL OWL? No. Would someone please address this issue. (Yes! Brilliant interviewer because so obviously ACTUALLY interested in his guests and also very loving towards them. I LOVE this!).
@@alistairweir5529 THANK YOU!! (I was worried. Thank you so much). .... oddly (talk about 'attracting things to yourself') I went on to watch a dozen clips (on all different subjects, wildly diff topics and venues) and, in about 5 or 6 of them, there was mention of animals ... and something happening to them ... "NOOoooooo! " ...hmmm.
The people were so wrong about Daniel being in Equus being a bad thing. So many people today don’t even remember he was in it. Only think Iv watched with Daniel Radcliffe in it I didn’t enjoy was horns. Sorry to those who like that movie I just didn’t.
Am I the only one that refuses to accept the fact Daniel Radcliffe is no more little boy wizard but a grown man? Honestly, I don't want to know that Harry Potter showed his a little Potter for the sake of theatre performance...

"He's so close, we can just talk to him!"
"Noo, you can't!!" 😂😂

Josè Iregui i dream of meeting Dan someday i would love to so much. That is one of my life goals
Him as the human being he is makes him even more appealing. Makes me wish to have him as a friend or at least meet him once.
Yes well said.he is so truthful.
I love this series, with radcliffe in particilar, also the host is a brilliant interviewer
His voice is so freaking chill too. The outro actually made me subscribe for once.
@@crabdabs8497 One of the best interviewers I've ever seen! Subscribed as well!
I love his style...ask a question and then shut up and let the actor answer.
My daughter and I saw him in Equus in NYC. We both were blown away by how good his performance was. In fact, we said, "He should ONLY do plays."

Hahaha I love J.K. Rowling’s sense of humour about the owl on the stage situation.

Gotta love Dan, such a chill guy!
I wish I were friends with Dan. He seems so kind and genuine.
Lowkey wonder if Rowling actually threw the owl on stage, I mean as Dan said, it LITERALLY never happened at any other show…

I doubt if there's a DVD of the Broadway play, but the movie from 1977 starring Peter Firth and Richard Burton is really worth seeing
@@Cinema-Roles I bought the screenplay and used my imagination to fill in the blanks :)
People who have a ringing phone in a theater of any kind should be detained and whipped.
Ooh well if that was a rule I'd go to the theater with my phone on more often ;)
the phone should be detained and whipped
I haven't heard any other English people his age pronounce theatre the way he does.
Great interview as always Sam!
He is such a fantastic actor. That was a great move for his career in my opinion. A truly wonderful actor.
i’ve watched about 5 of these videos in a row now and only just realised they’re all in black and white

My wife was visiting London and happened to be at that performance of Equus when the owl was thrown on state. :)

@@alistairweir5529 oh thank god I was worried too for a second
I hope the owl was friendly!
Lol “the right reasons” he really has been watching too much of The Bachelor 😂
The pictures of Daniel in *_Equus_* sparked my sexual awakening.
Lol.
Same girl.. same
Tmi
he's so pure and adorable
why would someone throw an owl!? so random! hundred times better than a phone going off - that's really offputting
are you serious? Hedwig et al
I need to finish watching his new show
Does anyone know why he twitches his nose sometimes? I haven't noticed him doing it until this recent lot of press.
A REAL owl?
numpty
I’m listening your awesome man
I miss the Harry Potter series...
Haha what’s wolf whistling? Sounds predatory
thats my uncle

You could always go back to being harry potter... so really you can do absolutley anything you want without having to worry about tommorrow.
I've watched a few of these now today and I'm getting sick of it being in black and white. It's not cool.
100th like
Wheres his scar?....jk
