Wonderful step-by-step recipe of Anglo Fish Mollie. I've noted down the recipe and will try it on a non-working day. I hadn't realized it was so simple to cook till I watched your video upload. Thanks a bunch dear Bridget and God bless!
Great video Bridget one of my favourites good old fish mollie. My darling Mum used to make it both fish and eggs. Hard boiled eggs make a very good mollie.
You’re welcome dear Heather. How nice to know that it’s your favourite dish made by your mum. Yes Egg Mollie is also so delicious. Will put up a video of Egg Mollie soon. Have a blessed season of Advent
Hello Bridget, My Grandma used to make this and I remember us all sat around the table watching Granddad mopping up with some bread. Very nice with boiled potato's. Thank you again for the memories of Grandma's cooking. Best wishes from a very hot Thailand. James.

As someone from North Malabar I was surprised to hear fish molee is also made in Anglo Indian homes. Fish molee Appams, mutton stew n ghee rice are a very integral part of every celebration at home The difference in the recipe for fish molee that we make is that its most important to lightly toast the fish before adding it to the curry.
Yes Anglo-Indian Cuisine took on many regional influences so while the dish remains the same, there is a slight variation in ingredients and preparation. Thank you so much for your insights. God bless
Hi Bridget tasty fish Moille but honestly I gotta stop watching your videos on an empty stomach because I’m so hungry after watching that I have raid the refrigerator for something to snack on ( only kidding 😉) Great recipe!
Hello Carol. I do hope you don't mind me sending a suggestion to help you with your hungry. Make some of Bridget's Bringel pickle and keep it in the fridge. Now when your hungry have some pickle and some bread. Very nice. Best wishes from Thailand. James
Ms Bridget, awesome recipe of fish molly. I was desperately looking for this recipe. So glad and thankful that you shared it. Beautifully explained step by step. Thank you once again . Daisy Robert Bangalore
Thank you. You could shallow fry the fish before adding to the gravy if you like. The choice is yours . However, I have noticed that if the raw fish is added to the bubbling gravy, it absorbs the flavours of the gravy more beautifully rather than the shallow fried fish.
Bridget I remember this dish when I was a Little boy In Barelly where my mother and aunts and Grandmothers used to make this dish we then came to the Uk and continued to make this dish which is still a favourite of Mine. .Lovely to see your version which is very similar to ours but thank you on behalf of all Us Anglo Indians👌👍

Thanks Christine. How nice that I cook like your mum 🤗
I prefer to pre fry the fish and make the fish molee. That’s how my mum used to make it.
Ok. Each one has their own way. I prefer it like this. 😊

Tomato is never used
