    Such a significant contribution.
    My husband is a thoracic surgeon with a stage 4 cancer at the esophageal gastric junction - also having worked with oncology all his life - being treated by his own team. Yes- uniquely placed to make a valuable impact. It’s a very different experience from the other side.

    I said this exact same thing to my primary about Bay area(UCSF and Stanford) study on never smoker Asian lung cancer study. My primary understood my concerns. She found a way(cooking for past more than 30 years with gas stoves and Thyroid cancer survivor) for insurance to cover low dose CT scan. Luckily, I was ok for now. And, I live in Southern California.
    Why didn’t Dr. Lin have the scan done before now? Such a shame. I hope with all the new Biological agents, targeted therapies and Cart T therapy advancements, he will be here to serve his patients for many more years to come!

    Is there a chance that they look into the role covid vaccines had played as it seems cancer is everywhere. My sister had a total mastectomy last year and thank God, she is done with 6 chemo sessions and is doing well now! My other sister had cutaneous metastisis and is awaiting results from a pathologist and for body scanning. Both of my sisters are health conscious so not sure what could have triggered CA. Praying for the Lord to completely heal my sisters and for those involved in the medical field to really make an honest review of the covid vaccines. I'm not vaccinated and I never had covid and I am doing well.

    • @jlife9092
      @jlife9092 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lung cancers in non-smokers have been around the same 1 in 5 statistic since way before the Covid epidemic. Your sisters' common denominator is YOU, so the question to really ask is that could YOU be causing their cancer? Could you with your negative conspiracy veering mindset triggers their otherwise dormant cancer gene? Perhaps you have been offering them food laced with cancer causing substance under the guise of caring and sharing. Perhaps you are a closeted smoker and the second hand miasma (which is more deadly) is causing people around you to drop like flies.
      I too am praying, praying for your sisters and also praying for the likes of you to see the hypocrisy that you clothe yourself in accepting that your sisters are still alive thanks to modern medicine whilst denouncing the very vaccines that save billions more. God helps those who help themselves. So go help yourself to real medical facts, NOT conspiracy theories, NOT unverifiable personal anecdotes that serve no real purpose other than to bring chaos and besmear the good names of medical researchers and physicians alike. YOU are the detractor, not the helper.

      Stage 4 simply means the cancer has spread from the lung to other organs, bones etc. It doesn't indicate how 'sick' you feel. That is why it is so easy to get to stage 4 without realizing it. With specific mutations of lung cancer, there are modern medicines you can take to stabilize or even shrink the tumors and sometimes make them disappear completely. These medicines work by suppressing the cancer's ability to multiply. However, over time (as in years), the medicine cannot overcome the cancer's resistance mechanism so they can stop working and the cancer can return or start growing again. Therefore, there is much ongoing research to determine how to overcome this resistance mechanism.
