    As a person in their 40s who is an ASU graduate, has been watching Pac-10/12 games since the mid-80s, your comment about the refs cracked me up and couldn't be more true. I think at least 90% of us Pac-12 fans hate Pac-12 refs more than we like our own teams, it united us. I can recall getting angry at them for so many awful calls, even ones that went in our favor! I will not miss them.

Its like the dbs were running the route for him but just couldnt make a play on the ball. Look, I think hes an incredibly skilled player. Does a lot of think really fricken well and will probably be nice player. I just dont think he has the elite burst to be a high end #1 receiver in the nfl which is what you better be getting if youre using a golden ticket top 10 draft pick on him. As a lifelong Packer fan, I see how they keep churning out really really good receivers with 2nd round draft picks so Im stingy when it comes to receivers in the 1st. They better knock my socks off and Odunze just doesnt do it for me. Hopefully he proves me wrong cuz the NFL needs all the great players it can get.

      He's just way too erratic on film for me to be sold on him
      He will go through streaks where he looks incredible - then stretches where he looks like he's playing for the other team.

      @@disthymia6929idk. I saw a lot of Penix knowing who he had on the outside and giving them a chance.
      He’s not throwing jump balls in double coverage. He’s throwing it too the 1-on-1 guy and in the most advantageous position whether it be too space or just UP to where the receiver has a chance to face up (and potentially draw the flag). You don’t go 67-19 TD/INT if you have bad placement. Especially in a vertical system like Washington.

    @John_TalksGiants หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @thevoxdeus
      @thevoxdeus หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Neither of those is "much better" than Odunze. They're different players with different strengths and weaknesses. If you look at ratings from scouts, the gap between these 3 receivers is typically .1 to .2 on an 8-point scale. A majority of scouts have MHJ #1, a smaller number have Nabers #1, and an even smaller number have Odunze #1, but there are some people who have him #1 based on his completeness and contested-catch ability.
      In short, Odunze is generally considered the third best WR prospect, but there's not a big gap in overall ability. In the 2023 draft, Odunze would have been the clear #1 WR, but the 2024 class is loaded.

    • @John_TalksGiants

      @John_TalksGiants You have that statement backwards. It is *your opinion* (which you stated as a "clear fact") that Odunze is "much worse."
      It is an actual *fact* that most scouts do not see a large gap in overall ability between the top 3 WR prospects
      We don't *disagree*, because I have not even told you my own opinion. In fact, I don't really have an opinion because I haven't bothered to study prospects, because that's not what I do. It's why I appreciate channels like this.
      That said, it is my *opinion* that Cardinals, Giants, and Bears fans are all going to be happy with the receivers their teams drafted, even if they don't all wind up being equally good.

    I have him WR3 behind Nabers and Harrison jr what about london for a comp?
    He also came out as a projected top 15 pick with elite contested catch tape and smooth in and out of breaks with good footspeed for a bigger guy.

      London's bigger/broader and was a better technical route runner at the same age - I really think he's gonna break out this year now he's got a real QB

    you say his early eyes are a good thing, but honestly that’s one of his bigger flaws. He struggles against physical dbs because his eyes are back too early so his pad level raises and he can’t hold a stable line. It’s very fixable tho and he’s my WR2 in this class

    Look at it like this out of the 3 Rome played with the least talented qb and put up great numbers. The other receivers on romes team are projected at most in 2nd. Nabers played in slot mainly with heisman Jayden and Brian Thomas on outside. Jr had stroud 1 year so who knows if he would have done better in 2nd with him got a lesser qb and put up almost same numbers he had with stroud. Nabers is number 3 for sure. I’d be fine with my team taking Rome or jr if needing outside reciever

    All throws lead to Rome.
    It's highly unlikely, but I hope that there's a team out there that can grab both Penix and Rome to keep them together. Frankly, were I GM of the Bears, I'd trade out of 1st overall to make it happen.

      you would be fired immediately. penix is NOT a franchise QB. way too erratic/inconsistent on film. maye and caleb are much more franchise potential, not saying they are locks to be great, but it’s highly unlikely penix will be better than either of them
