I will give it a 7 out of 10. I like the position diamond at the bottom but I don't like the team font going up the side, would have liked to see what it look like with a solid color. Another great video !!!
Great video, David. To me, this is 3 home runs in a row, have loved ‘23, ‘24, and now ‘25. I will admit, after you mentioning it, I would definitely rather the team be filled in, but I still really like it. The ‘82 and ‘84 had a baby is a really interesting observation, and I totally see it. I’m also with you about thinking this will look really nice in Chrome, and going beyond the border will enhance that. Great discussion, thanks for sharing!
I completely agree with you, I really like this design which is no surprise since I love the 82 and 2019 designs. I also wish the team names were in color and not as transparent. I know some people are really fired up about the lack of the black parallel, but I don't collect those anyway. My only hope is that they have some great imagery and it's not just batters batting, pitchers pitching, etc (a touch of Stadium Club in the flagship would be a great improvement in the photography). I also am hopeful the price will allow me to buy at least a little wax but I kind of doubt it. Love your videos, very happy and positive and little talk about "return on investment" or "the market." Thank you!
Great video - the design doesn't really appeal to me much, but yeah...I will end up picking some blasters up, and ripping them sometime. Thanks much for the info.
Have to admit the position on the diamond is one of my favorite aspects lol. I do think if they filled in the team name it’d be solid, but overall I’m just ok with it.
The word I keep coming back to is "safe". It's a safe design, and safe can be a little boring. But pretty clean overall. 2024 was such a bold choice, tough act to follow.
You know what would be cool? If Topps gave people a chance to score a HUGE, MEGA JUMBO CARD, maybe the size of a refrigerator or something? 😅 Normally I don't support the idea of redemption cards, but in this case, it would have to be that way, because they wouldn't fit in any regular pack or box. I think this would be fun for collectors of any age, (as long as they have enough extra room in their house? ) and would be very new and different. Maybe make them only 1 year so they're rare. And how awesome would it be to get them graded, and have a slab the size of a large aquarium? 🤩🤣 How cool would it be to have a 6' x 4' or so card of your favorite player, in your man cave or card room? Or your shop wall, etc.
Hahahaha that would be cool. They used to sell posters on their website, which I think would be awesome, but they weren’t that big. I’m an ‘80s kid - I love posters. Gimmeeeeee!
I’m undecided on it. Don’t love it but don’t hate it either. I may like it better when I see it on card. I’ll also be curious how they handle the parallels in reference to that top white section of the team name.
David, while I like the design I can’t help but be overcome with frustration by the elimination of parallels like Mother’s Day pink /50, Father’s Day blue /50 and Black /76+. It’s very frustrating to me as my favorite sets to put together included these parallels that have been around for a while.
Yeah, that totally baffles me. I know a lot of people collect those exact parallels for a reason. Nobody collects stinking pumpkin parallels or an Easter basket parallel.
Overall i love the design, i do wish the player name was more visible. Barry Bonds will have autos in this set, they showed him with the 90s design on it and it looked great. Its cool how Topps kinda incorporates historical designs in their current ones but also has it fresh!
What I don't understand is, and I hope they do it is the Frank Thomas no name on front as well as the Griffey the way it looks now in the 1990 Topps. What they should have done is done a bunch of BuyBacks or something
I’m one of the ones that doesn’t like it. I got back into the hobby this year because the design of 2024 Topps was so good I wanted to get it. And I haven’t collected cards in over 20 years. This sets design is very dull and the rookie list is not as strong as last year
I don't like the team name as an outline. Especially over the 2 color design on the left of the card. Makes it hard to read.White outline bleeding over into a white border? What gives. The baseball diamond with a dot signifying a player's position? Maybe to teach kids? I do like that they can and do display a large player picture. That looks good. Overall I'd give it a B+
I hate modern white border cards. I don't mind the design and layout. I wish they would just stick to numbered colored cards. No holiday stuff. 3 1/1's 2 /25 2 /50 2/10s should only be one 10, not 2 etc.
Another great one ☝️ 🎉

Thanks for watching and commenting, Scott! I feel like you and I are locked in pretty good with our tastes! Great minds! Hahaha

i like that they all seem to have a team color match, looks good
It's like '82 Topps got restored, polished, and upgraded! 😄
I kind of like it. 🙂
Exactly! I dig it, too.
This card design correspondent better be a good guest. 😂 I hadn't noticed the stars behind the "Future Stars" logo. That's a nice touch!
Hahahaha I hope so, too! The stars are hidden kinda on Elly’s card, but dang they look good on PCA’s!
Great video - the design doesn't really appeal to me much, but yeah...I will end up picking some blasters up, and ripping them sometime. Thanks much for the info.
I like the 2024 design better. Even the holiday design was cool in my opinion.
Love the white borders. The design is so so. I like it more than 2024. At least at first sight.
Have to admit the position on the diamond is one of my favorite aspects lol. I do think if they filled in the team name it’d be solid, but overall I’m just ok with it.
It's a clean looking card. Overall I like it

the new design is okay, but nothing will beat last years. but if the rookie class is great people will love. but overall i like it. thanks Dave
I like it! Maybe the team name could of used a darker text or font! Lets go!!!

For sure, it's tough to judge it until you see it on the real cards!
I would agree with this sentiment. I also like the 'what could have been' with the filled in team name (lost oppty).

Me too!

WHAAAAT!?!?!?! Bonds Autos!?!?!?! That would be sweet!!!
I like the 2025 design, but coloring in the team name would be better.
For sure, I agree.

Interesting! I bet they do, just like how they did the FUNNY FACE SP card for Jackson Holliday!
What do the backs look like?
Kind of remind me of Topps total one of the years
Interesting, I haven't seen that one.
Maybe it will grow on me future stars are cool though just wish topps would go back to the50s and 60 s designs there was a lot more. Color
I always thought the '79 Topps was designed after the '76 Topps design.
'79 designed after the '76 design? Not sure what you mean.
@DavidGonos yesssssss
Great channel but you Audio Is super low
Hmmmmmm, thank you for the constructive feedback! I will check the settings on my mic!!!
Clean look, but unmemorable. C+

Anyone else think that Skenes card looks off center?
I might have clipped it from a bigger picture

I don't like it, but ....... They will be easier to gem up 🤷

Don’t like It don’t buy It
Don’t buy it because you don’t like the design?
