My fist ride, at 10 months, strapped in a bassinet, was on a polo mare who, after ‘collecting the reins’ took off with me, luckily uphill and in a smallish paddock… of course, that was it, I was well and truely bit-between-the-teeth on these four-footed spawn of the centaur!?
