    Thanks for watching! Which of the original ten J.League teams is your favourite? Let me know in the comments!

      I am not a fan of them 10 original J1 League Clubs. But with studying about them, especially from your videos, I have more respect to them, even to Shimizu S-Pulse, which I previously highly disliked.
      Too bad that Flugels had to merge with Marinos. I am actually wondering what could happen to Flugels had their investors not went away from the club after watching this video...

    I always enjoy these historical J league videos! If I had to choose 1 it would have to be Shimizu S Pulse! A great club with one of the best stadiums!! Seeing this reminds me how far Verdy has fallen. Hopefully they get their act together and can bounce back.

      Thanks! S-Pulse are a really cool club. And, yeah, it's a real shame what happened to Verdy. It would be nice to see them back in J1 sometime

    Pretty amazing seeing how these teams panned out. If you would have told a Verdy fan in the 90s that their team would be practically irrelevant over a decade later and another team would take it's place and be just as dominant they would think you were crazy. Great vid as usual👍

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, it's a really crazy story how Verdy fell from grace and another Kawasaki team rose in their place. Hopefully Verdy can rediscover something of their previous form, but they're a very different club today

    also they were runner's up in the 1999 japanese super cup only losing to kashima antlers and the reason for that despite losing to the flugels was because they had to sub for them as flugels had already been merged into marinos by that time

  • @surge79uwf
    @surge79uwf 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yokohama Marinos hasn’t been relegated since 1982. Shimizu is a franchise team since they never competed in JSL.

  • @NSLUploader

    Just realized the situation with the Yokohama Flugels fracturing into Yokohama F-Marinos and Yokohama FC somewhat resembles the one that happened to the NHL's Minnesota North Stars fracturing into the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild.

    verdy just needs to keep their pace right now as they are in 6th and good enough to get to the promotion relegation playoffs for now plus they have a really catchy song in samba de verdy dating back to the glory days of verdy kawasaki

    If the winner of two stages was the same club, how thing went down back then? Crown that team champions, or decide it with a match against the runners-up team?

    • @LostinFootballJapan
      @LostinFootballJapan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In that case, the team that won both stages would be crowned champions. It happened in 2002 when Jubilo Iwata won both stages, and in 2003 when Yokohama F. Marinos did the same.
