    Bought my Samsung yesterday and after 12 hours of trying to get it to connect to my WiFi I am taking it back for a different brand never have I ever had such a huge problem with a device not connecting to the WiFi

      Try the 8888 it should connect. I was trying too then I see that video where it says add 8888 and press save

      Go to Samsung.com, download the latest onto an usb. Put the usb in the tv. When you go to settings, updates, tell it to use the usb. I’m having issues with mine connecting but I’m up to date on the software 😭

    Tell me how you are updating your tv without it being connected to wifi. I can't do that therefore I can't update the tv.

      Me either. Which means it's a faulty firmware or hardware problem. Which also means you have to return it to the factory.

      @@nemomortis1866 unplugging it works for me, holding the power button on the remote down for three seconds also works for me, and resetting the TV also works, but no matter what I do everytime I turn the TV off and then back on again it won't connect to the internet and I have to do the unplug trick or the remote power button trick, or reset TV trick. Holding down the power button on the remote for three seconds after I turn the TV on is the quickest option. Do you have any idea why the TV doesn't connect to WiFi when I turn it on?

    You're a legend. I spent hours with my internet provider and couldn't fix the problem. The third method worked by putting the 8888 in the DNS settings. Thank you sooooo much

    For those who need another tip I've got this one from Samsung support (call-center): You have to disconnect the TV from anything, even the electric current. Then you find a power button near the Samsung logo (in my case it was at the bottom, in the center, for a TU8200). Press the button for 30 seconds. Then plug the tv directly to the current and voilá! Your wifi networks will appear now. Turns out this TV accumulates static from other devices (in my case it was connected at the same plug with some other guitar amplifiers) which make the wifi card to stop working. Poor design from Samsung.

    OMG, Thank you so much! I spent an hour trying to figure out why my tv just kicked me out. Checked everything with the router, then I figured out my laptop was still working, which meant it wasn't the Wifi. Haha! Reset/checked things on the tv, powered off and on numerous times, re-entered the router password about 8 times and finally decided to search for help and your video came up THANK God! And THANK Juan! After all that, all I had to do was unplug it for 60 seconds, and Yes, I did wait the full 60. Thank you so much Juan! You are a brain saver, mine was about fried when I found your video. ;-)

    The unplug option works but only temporarily. I’ve had to repeat this every 2 days or so. I checked to be sure the software was up to date, it is. Unfortunately my model won’t allow me to access DNS settings. Any advice? Or should I get used to unplugging my tv routinely?

      Constantly unplugging will get old. I suggest getting a Roku stick and use that as your main streaming player.

    Nope. Still won’t connect. Unplugging usually works. This Samsung TV is such a POS I’ve had network issues every couple weeks for 3 years since I got it. Now the TV seems to be a paperweight. 😡

    Lucky for me your first option, to unplug, worked perfectly. It went right to the program. No need to fiddle with settings. It restored the settings that I thought were lost. But if that had not worked,, how can you expect to update the software when the TV won't connect to your network, hence no internet access?

    Unplugging the TV for 60 seconds appeared to do nothing but when I checked the network settings the networks had reappeared. I just needed to select my wi-fi, re-enter my wi-fi key and we were back in business. Excellent video.

      @@LensPx91 I have AT&T wifi 100mb. Still to this day it's still happening. I'm assuming we have a faulty hardware firmware problem meaning we probably need a new internal part installed.

    Thanks mate! I have a Polaroid TV. Turning it off at the plug for a minute fixed the problem.

    If these didn’t help you like they didn’t help me then you just need to hold the power button on your remote for 5 seconds. This hard resets your Samsung TV and has always fixed my TV when it can’t connect.

      Nothing this guy said worked for me. Your advice to press the power button for 5 seconds let me reset the TV and the wireless is now connected. I had a power outage and the tv could not see the router. Now it does. Thanks for the advise.

    Min. MBS required? I have only up to 1.5 mbs download on dsl. The bandwidth is always over full. The tv looses its wifi connection everyday. My vizio never has this problem like the Samsung. Is there something with the download speed setting the Samsung is using a 4k and only 1080 is barely available? Update! the Samsung tv would not hold the modem credentials via WPS. Corrected the problem by using modem pass phrase and it now maintains its connection even after a power loss it boots up and connects as it should! Ya!
