Nic's Jeep gets some badly needed Rubicon Express 4.5" springs and boomerang shackles! The bushings were also replaced, and the new bushings have grease fittings for future maintenance! This Jeep YJ has been owned by Nic for the last 10 years, and it features the 4.0, 33" tires and a welded roll cage. Check out my other videos of this Jeep! You guys kill me with your super-clean Jeeps. I waxed mine a couple weeks ago and all that happened was the rust holes got bigger! LOL

Rear shackles are in upside down. Long arm goes down, short goes up.

What was the high of the YJ before you change the shackle and leaf spring . ?
The parts that you upgrade are bigger than the stock ones . By how much ,

Why is the front shackle on the back of the leaf spring?
So when the spring compresses it moves backwards instead of foward into the obstacle, hope that helps

He got them from Mountain Off Road Enterprises.
Correction: he built the kit but used the MORE shackles.
Did nic build the shackle hangers as well as the main eye bushing sleeve in the frame?
Yes, he did.
How does he like the ride? I want to get OME but I seen they only go up to 2.5 so my next Orion was the RE

Eric Guterac 33x12.5x15 on 8" wheels. I can't remember the tire brand off-hand. They should be visible in the video, I think. The tires on my black YJ are same size Pro Comps.

hey man, I'm hoping you can give me some clarification, I'm looking into getting a 4 inch lift for my YJ and have been trying to figure out what to do with my drive shaft, if I recall correctly you have a 4 inch lift on your yj, do you have anything done do your drive shaft? Slip yoke eliminator, rear cv driveshaft or has it been left stock?
Rory Cairns I have a transfer case drop on mine with no issues. He's getting an SYE kit for his very soon. I'll do another video.
It's all stock other then the transfer case drop? Are you having any driveshaft vibration?
Rory Cairns mine is, as far as I can tell. You shouldn't need more than the transfer case drop with a 4" lift like mine. I don't have any vibration at all.

Terry Kubel if I remember correctly he modified the shackle mounts on his Jeep.
