I was just trying to find a way to not get strangled by my tshirts and wow! Your technique seems perfect. The front neckline is flawless. While your work impressed me (and is too advanced for me 😬) I was touched by all the beautiful comments. Seems lots of people missed you and have been thinking about you. You’ve achieved a true sense of community here. Wishing you and everyone blessings on your collective journey.
What a helpful video! Great idea of cutting some of the hem fabric for the neckline. I also love the idea of using the double needle to sew the hem in knit shirts. I have a new Janome sewing machine and have not yet used the "twin-needle" function but you've encouraged me to give it a try. Thank you! 😘
Elizabeth!! You're back!! Such a helpful video. It never dawned on me to cut length off the hem for the neckline. Mind. blown. Also, I like the detail of sewing a strip of fabric to stabilize the back. Now onto your other recent uploads:)
Hey Rikki! Always good to hear from you. You'll never make a neckline a different way--I love how it looks and it does double duty stabilizing the seam. I started doing it when I was started refashioning in earnest and noticed that it was a common detail. I'm praying you and your family are doing well!
Helpful tutorial. Good tips. Question: I am inherited an old sewing machine and am looking to buy a new one. I am between a beginner and intermediate sewer. Which machine would you recommend?? there are so many and am overwhelmed for the choice. many look flimsy.
Thank you for making this so easy to understand and for making sure we could actually see what you're doing. This was extremely helpful.❤
You are so welcome!

I bought a used Bernina 1230, excellent but not too complicated. Make sure you try it with thread & fabric before you hand over $.
How did you add the ruffle to your peach t-shirt?
Thank you😊
You're welcome 😊
