Welcome to BodeVision! Join me in this thrilling episode of my body swap project, where I continue to transform a 1968 Ford F350 by fitting it onto a Lincoln Town Car chassis. In this video, I share an amazing trick to enhance the truck's sound without breaking the bank. Watch as I cut off the muffler and skillfully weld in a new pipe, giving the truck an impressive and aggressive sound.
But that's not all! Witness the exciting progress as I secure the body on the chassis for the final time and embark on welding everything together. I demonstrate how I make the floor seamlessly match between the two platforms and showcase my custom fitting and finishing of sheet metal panels. Learn my expert technique of using paper as a template, transferring it onto sheet metal, cutting, and shaping it using a stretcher/shrinker tool. You'll also see the bead roller in action, creating stunning designs on the new metal pieces.

Im going to comment and like everyone of bode's videos i see drop to do my part to make sure this guys blows up. I dont see many doing the stuff he does and i love his projects that arent way over the top and tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Looks like a tight fit getting in. Both TDC Hotrods and Flannel Philip made it seem easy retaining the stock truck dash while also keeping all the crown vic/town car components, and on top of that it seems they gained a bit more leg room or distance from the dash and steering wheel. If things seem to cramped I'm sure it would be a quick fix for you to consider.
Giving the nature of this build, glad you went with a traditional body drop and not a stock floor. Idk why but this fits it. Looking killer Bode!

Just found this build and have enjoyed following along. However I do wish you wouldn’t avoid the wiper issue. It would be interesting to see how that could’ve worked out. Personally I wouldn’t go without them. Otherwise it’s not truly a real driver. It would be cool to somehow “fuse” the system using the Lincoln motor and controls with the truck linkage and wiper arms

Between yours and Jamesbuilds Kermit truck fusions I’m thinking I should have went with my first idea and utilized the original floor pan in doing my suvfusion of 2006 hemi Durango chassis with a 1979 Cherokee body. I went with the Cherokee floor pan and it’s proving to be a headache. At this point there’s not much of the original Cherokee floor pan left and I’ve had to do way more welding than if I’d have gone your way. I like you build very much.

One thing i would like to see more of in these video's (but you don't have to) is a slightly more indepth look at the prep that goes into those fill in panels and such before they get welded on. And maybe reasonings behind the steps you take? But up to you.

I may have missed it but how would you register a build like this. Register the truck or the car.
What type of rear bed will you be fitting? Will you be re-using the bed from before or will you get a truck bed with body panels?
Last I heard he was planning on like a construction tool box style bed. He picked them up in an earlier episode before he tore the truck apart.
