This was a studio track over the live performance because there was too much noise from rain and the crowd. They use a click track so it wasn’t difficult to sync the track with the video of the performance. This concert was the day before Taylor Hawkins (RIP) passed, the girls were really upset by it because he had shouted encouragement to them when they came off stage along with Dave Grohl. Yeah their songwriting is exceptional, always leaving you with the desire to explore the possible meanings.
Dany uses an octave effect on the guitar that is panned to give the bigger sound, it’s done in stereo so can be adjusted at the mixing desk.

Just for clarity, the show was 10 days before Taylor died. (I figure you knew that and it was just a typo.)

When I was much younger I used to only listen to pop/R&B, but I later changed my mind when I shifted my point of view from how hard a song is, to is it still melodic and this opened me up to harder music styles.

If you read the title it says in support of Foo Fighters (studio version). You're going to like Rock a lot more if you keep The Warning going.. They are Brilliant writers and composers.. 🌎✌️

I first heard this song when Pau performed it with Dany and Ale on acoustic during an interview at WMMR in Philadephia, and I loved it.

It says Studio Version at the bottom left.. I enjoyed your analysis of the lyrics. Very cool.. all their original lyrics are brilliant every time..try REVENANT It's acoustic slowed down and absolutely brilliant writing.. LIVE AT THE PEPSI CENTER CDMX OR LIVE AT TEATRO METROPOLITAN CDMX the drummer PAULINA is singing it..
    ✌️

Consider the songs "Revenant" live from the 2023 Teatro Metroplitan concert; "Amour" from the 2023 Pepsi Center CDMX concert; "Animosity" live session; "23", "Error", "Kool-Aid Kids", and "When I'm Alone" from the 2023 Pepsi Center CDMX concert"; Shattered Heart" from the 2029 Whiskey A-Go-Go show.

The two absolutely greatest lyric songs ( and there are a ridiculous number of them) are "23" ( possibly the greatest torch song ever written) and " Consume" which has possibly one of the most perfect set of words to cover meaning AND tone "Lips painted and parted, alone and unguarded" First sounds sexy, but conveys sleeze so perfectly. Pau at her most incredible

I think the "wash my hands" is more towards Pontius Pilate's action, but I haven't seen the band specifically explain the lyrics. But yes, these young ladies come up with awesome lyrics and they are doing it in their 2nd language. They have said that their English vocabulary is actually bigger than their Spanish one.

Fantastic breakdown as always. Yes, this video serves as the OMV (studio track over video). Check it out @Pepsi Center sometime for the full live effect (including money from the heavens😉). Want less hard? ‘Revenant’ live @ Metropolitan ‘Black Holes’ @Pepsi Center.

English is their second language, but they have such a good grasp of it that it sounds as if it were their native tounge. Their lyrics are exceptional. Great breakdown

If I remember correctly, this concert was in the rain, and at an outdoor festival with sound bleeding over from other stages. The live track was not good enough. Because they play to a click track, the video syncs well with the studio track. It's clearly marked as live video, studio audio. The Warning use a lot of satire and sarcasm. Your interpretation is good. Lyrics ARE their strong point! Pau wrote *Black Holes,* a song about addiction, when she was 13. Hear her sing it at the piano with a ten piece string section in the Pepsi Center, CDMX, concert. It's phenomenal! *Money* at that same show is spectacular, as they drop funny money from confetti cannons onto the crowd. BTW, Dany can sound like two or three guitars because of her Kemper pedalboard. It's programmed with all the amp simulations they use on their albums. They can use reverb, delay, and a stereo feed of multiple effects to the front-of-house PA. Dany, Pau, and Ale together can create quite a wall of sound. These ladies grew up in a bilingual Catholic girls' school environment in Monterrey, MX, so yes, there are plenty of religious references in their songs.

Not a festival with multiple stages. This was a stadium concert. It did rain.

This brilliant song has layers of meaning including how these 3 sisters turned down big money from major music industry labels because they offered "Slave Contracts" which would have denied Dany, Pau, and Ale creative control over their music, told them what to perform, how to perform, when to perform, and autotuned everything, which DPA refuses to use. Those contracts would have been "diamond nooses" at the throats of these 3 women. I grew up in a community within many Mexicans. These 3 women are not just religious Catholics, they're 100% Mexican despite being bilingual. My experience; impossible to have a 10 minute conversation with my Mexican friends without Christian imaginary coming up 15 times and death 10 times.
