I view it more as an achievement to be able to listen to the whole song on a level than as a lazy developer move. He needed to stop developing the soundtrack at some point, and the theme does do a great job at being final, in a weird way.

To those of you who haven't played this game, you might be tempted to think that the minute leading up to the zen state is harder because of all the flashing colors and spinning background.
I'm here to tell you it's the exact opposite. This far in the game, his brain doesn't even see the spinning and flashing colors. It's pure pattern recognition, and the spinning and zooming out actually makes this easier. Imagine a single gap in the hexagon. If the hexagon is spinning quickly, you'll see it far before gap has entered the vertical radius of the screen, and you can prepare.
The absolute beauty of hyper hexagonest is that it turns this on its head. A gap on top is the same as a gap on bottom until the hexagon is literally half the screen height away from you. You don't realize how advantageous this chaos was for pattern recognition until they take it away and leave only those with the purest of reflexes

Two other interesting things about the void level is that 1) there are no lanes! Because it’s all black, it’s sometimes harder to see how close you are to a wall until it hits you. And,
2) the fact that it goes from not spinning to doing a full 360 out of nowhere always throws me off. Like I’m never expecting it when it happens. That inconsistency just makes it even harder lol

The interesting thing is, though, that the difficulty will always ramp up every 60 seconds until the endgame phase, but the announcer never mentions anything past 120 seconds, regardless of difficulty.

+Clockwork of Subs 78 on this mode is the furthest i have been able to get. The hardest thing is getting used to how far the cursor moves in relation to how long you hold the arrowkey.

This brings back so many memories of beating this game. I've done it twice, once on iOS and again on Steam. I still think it's one of my rarest achievements.
After watching this, I will never think of hexagons the same way ever again.

I can tell he didn't use a bot. There are quite a few mistakes a computer wouldn't make. While he gets close to the middle often, he's always a tad off, and hits the sides of walls fairly often.
Here's the biggest problem with it, though: the time. How the hell did he get a record of 668 seconds (just over 11 minutes) in a 10 minute video?

All I'm saying is that it's strange that he got a record of 11 minutes in a 10 minute time-frame. So far, all you've done is blame the TH-cam time limit, which is irrelevant because the standard limit was raised to 15 minutes long before this video was posted.

Well, that's not clever. Games in Steam and their following programs have nothing to do with your PC. Especially indie games, which just dont have any side programms. You totally should buy «Super Meat Boy» and «The Binding of Isaac». «Don't starve» is cool too.

Also the video is sped up a bit it seems. For instance, if you flick to 7 minutes(420 seconds) it says 477ish seconds. Even though the video started before the timer did. Lemme do some math...
At about 6 minutes 53 seconds(video time) after timer starts the timer is at 476. 413 seconds video time, 476 timer time. Which is about 63 seconds ahead. So the timer is going somewhere under 10 seconds extra every minute on the video. So that's like 1.1 times normal speed approximately.
Its the timer's problem, notice how fast its going.

I literally just beat this stage. It has taken about 6 months to get through all 6 stages. I only lasted 66 seconds on this final stage. Way to go man. It is an insane game. My hat is off to your time.

He definitely is, if you look really closely you can see movements that he makes mistakes with, they're just really small and he corrects them well. With his reaction speed, he simply has practiced enough to react that fast in this environment.
Its all practise. You learn to See most patterns on the entire screen while still watching your Position and learn to find a path through them by instinct. Same with the Timing required. This guy has over 100h in this, pretty sure about that. I have 25/30 and can läßt 25s top in the first part of the video.

There arent any like premade patterns, its pretty much just like the RNG, Random Number Generator, I'd rather say a lot of practise.

I like how when you go into the final zone of the game at 1:00, it's like the game knows you're focused that it begins to play onto your senses. The music is slowed down and everything is in black and white because you are reacting at such high speeds that you're in a completely different zone...an infinite zone

I love watching people go up against the hyper mode of this level. It's inevitable they'll die, but it's so awesome to watch a struggle until they just can't handle it anymore. It's like, DBZ levels of epic to me.
The music just puts the icing on the cake for me. I've gotten to the black void place too, but I can't last there for very long at all. My record is 67 seconds.

In this game, it used centisecond for timer but normally in real life 100 centiseconds = 1 second. This game used only 60 centiseconds = 1 second. It might be intent of this game to use only 60 because hexagon (Hexagon is 6 sides) or because misunderstanding of 1 minute = 60 seconds so game developer might think 1 second = 60 centisecond. Who knows? By the way, I do trust this person is really doing it without bot.

sped up or not you can clearly see just by the way the arrow moves and stops the exact same way through the entire vid thats its computer controlled and not done by a human hand, no amount of practice can make a human that exact with every movement fir that period of time its just not possible. Theres no adjustments in the arrow at all it just moves to teh right place first time every time.
and after playing games your whole life you can tell the diference between a human and ai. Watching this is like watching an aimbot you can so easily tell.
I must respectfully disagree here. I can see that this is not some bot, its just a very skilled player. I'm the same way with other games. I've played them enough to have an immediate, and precise action to the situation at hand without any mess ups. So enjoy the video, and appreciate the skill it takes to pull this off.
