I'll just add one thing, instead of buying cheap colonges, go for decants of good perfumes, as a college students I too started with cheap/budget fragrances and then I went for turathi blue as my first okayish budget fragrance and realised that the budget fragrance (some of them) though had good smell and projection, they were not the kind of one that creates an aura around you rather just smell (just like how it is with deo and room fresherners), and others now just smell very generic ,then I started buying these decants and realised that I started spraying 40-60 sprays of these budget fragrances and now honestly I use them as room fresherners because now I don't really enjoy them.

Backstory of Mont Blanc Legend : MB and Creed were going head to head when creed released one MB's fragrance as theirs. So MB came back at them and cloned their most popular fragrance at the time Creed Aventus and released it as MB Legend for a fraction of the price. (Creed perfumes are 15k and above, MB are 5k).
So that's how it went down back in the days. If anyone needs any "clones" to the same Creed Aventus/MB Legend DNA I'll be happy to tell... Lmk !
(I'm currently using Detour Noir which is a 90% clone of the luxury fragrance Layton by PDM).
