Thanks for producing an excellent vid; for once an unusual choice of forces and period. I've never seen early WWII French forces and those Renault tanks (I think correct me if I'm wrong). Enjoyable.
@@GeneralShiba_ The surprising thing in this battle is how effective those Renault tanks are in battle. I've always assumed they were outdated pieces of crap but they kick ass here. Lends credence to the theory that the French Army was betrayed from within; WWII wasn't so much between nations as it was between ideologies, like the Spanish Civil War. Maybe we could have Squad battles between Republicans and Royalist factions! Now wouldn't that be amazing.
@@Ferocious_Imbecile It's not a theory, the french communist party was following the Molotov - Ribbentrop pact (german - soviet pact), so before and during the war they organized strikes in factories, sabotaged ammo, weapons, and vehicles. You could also argue that the military hierarchy and the politicians were either corrupt, blinded by arrogance, or mentally impaired. It was decided that tanks didn't need radios, that tank divisions was not a good idea, and that combined arms was not a worthy strategy. To put in perspective you must know that in 1932 De Gaulle (who was then a captain) argued in his book "Le Fil de l'épée" (The Edge of the Sword) that France needed tank divisions to do what blitzkrieg came to be. A lot of people knew that our military was deeply flawed, but as always, politics got in the way.
@@Ferocious_Imbecile I wrote this out and my phone died mid may through so I’m writing from memory 💀 The Germans in 1940 would have fielded mainly Panzer I ( machine gun ) Panzer II ( 20mm autocannon ) While they had these they where in very small numbers compared to the panzer I & II Panzer III ( tank on tank 50mm ) Panzer IV ( 75mm infantry support ) Panzerjager I Captured vehicles from countries invaded from prior to 1940 very small amount Czech Panzer 35(t) Crech panzer 38(t) Some others I’m sure French tanks where often better than their German counterparts however how they where used ( doctrine ) and their design ( many did not possess radios unlike many German tanks ) where the reason the French lost so many soldiers and tanks The French and many other countries after the First World War prepared for another war with trenches, massed artillery and stalemates. They relied upon the maginot line and the Ardennes being impassible ( very few roads coming in and out, thick Forrest’s making driving into them difficult) when using tanks and truck’s. The Germans managed to not only pass through the Ardennes but use their knowledge of combined arms to great effect as they had the most experience in using and developing it like in their involvement in the Spanish civil war and their invasion of Poland and the Anschluss. the allies knew about the benefits but many of the French and British generals and higher ups where from World War One and expecting a ww1 style war and set in their ways After the Germans had bypassed the line and struck deep into France and taken Paris without a fight and the government fleeing all while inflicting high casualties (1.328 million French captured, killed, injured | 10% of all French males) France was not betrayed from within it was just not ready for that type of war they put all their cards on the wrong house Germany prepared from even before the start of hitlers rise of power they trained and expanded in secret gaining experience and theory crafting strategy’s
imagine if they could add a strategic persistence layer to make it part of an actual war like in foxhole, but maybe with scheduled battles instead of a free flow
@@aiugiamos3057 the TC has access to command, squad an Proximity chat. Rest of the squad only has access to squad and proximity chat. If someone isn’t in their squad they have to get close enough for proximity chat. :) in the realism event you have to have a radio and be a commander to access command chat and there’s no squad chat so it’s all proximity. :)
Apologies mate, I have turned up my voice on the next one, my settings got reset and it took me a minute to find a good balance again. I thought I had it when I recorded the last 2 which were better but still quiet. The next one you should be able to hear me super clearly! 👍

@@schai3r I don’t have a trouble finding a full English speaking server, only been a few times I haven’t been able to if I’m honest. Should give it a go next time it’s on special!

I love how realistic the tank assault is, tanks slowly shoot and advance , supporting the attacking infantry , there was no rush .

@@mif4860 it can be harsh on your setup. I'm pretty sure it's more cpu dependent then your gpu but might be time to upgrade! 👌
