Honestly, a gross overreaction from the woman, yes he cheated and broke up with her. She jowever ruined his life and continued to do so 20 years later. She sounds like a terrible person.
Whatever happened to "The best revenge is a life well lived"? I do remember hearing that in just the last couple of videos, yes? There were a lot of jerks in this story (some worse that others, obviously) but to keep seeking vengeance 20 years later (after already getting someone fired, or nearly kicked out of school, or reported to LEO) just doesn't scream MORAL HIGH-GROUND like the OP thinks it should. I agree that no one should cheat, or attempt to manipulate others, or be an insulting prick; but this person RELISHES in the downfall of someone who wronged them....where/how does this make this person better than another? I usually don't like hypotheticals, but it sounds like the trials the OP went through helped the OP in their personal growth as she was absolutely living a life well lived there for a while, but then OP used that well lived life to get one last metaphorical kick on a long-ago downed "opponent". On the other hand, hungering for vengeance, holding long-term grudges, and using power for revenge... perhaps I am just mistaken and just don't know what "Moral High-Ground" really means.
I disagree about the 20-years-later thing. He did actually marry Meg, instead of get into a series of relationships with his TAs. To me that shows that, yes, he cheated and is a dumbass, he’s not the level of creep he might otherwise be. And even the continuing to breed animals seems fine to me. It makes him money and he didn’t get in trouble for it, just lost the animals during the investigation into the endangered species. Especially if he now has major fines to pay, he needs money. I’m fine with what she did initially, but that last step just seems too far.
Still holding a grudge after 20 yrs? That woman is miserable and bitter. She hasn't moved on, she obviously is still stuck in the past. If you truly moved on why would you care about an ex's employment. Why intervene at all? He had already been punished once, why keep punishing someone for something they did 20 yrs ago. The whole mention of wiggling into her size 10s at the end, it sounds like she's hung up more on the weight thing than the actual cheating. The sweatpants and size difference and all that. She sounds absolutely disgusted at the thought of being overweight and her partner choosing a big girl over her.
" it sounds like she did know a lot about science"😂😂😂
I fricking love when mainly facts post you guys are so great
