This is because the money is concentrated in the top 1 percent of the population of Uganda. The country needs to first improve the infrastructure then Uganda will get some international investments to create good paying jobs for ordinary people so that they can support markets like this

The city council has to get involved, all the vendors outside should be removed and encouraged to come inside, the stall rent should be dropped lower so the vendors can afford to be inside. I personally don’t think the vendors inside can afford to stay for a longer time as outside vendors are stealing all the customers. Please get the city council or government involved. I feel for sorry for the inside vendors. It is a great layout & it looks modern. Watching from Calgary, Canada

Hope u will not be one of those to blame it for using force to evict roadside vendors like it has always been everytime authorities try to evict them forcefully

I think the key to making this work is a different structuring of the stalls and pricing and People don't like change. The goal should be to make those venders outside in the streets come inside and keep the areas inside well structured and clean.By making everyone come inside it will help keep the streets clean and beautiful. It is not pretty when you have garbage all over and no structure to provide a cleaner more hygienic market and area. Just my thought but again I have a more Western viewpoint. The airport brings many people into the country the areas should always present the best parts of the area.

The stalls are extravagantly expensive, and they are operated in a mafia way by the blockers

The government should encourage the vendors to move inside even if it means reducing the rent fares uganda is so disorderly
