- Managed to get my friends along to their first Tough Mudder - thought at least Manchester would be a little "easier" than North West.
As always, the weather in Manchester was forever changeable - really did have 4 seasons in one day.
Manchester Heaton Park is relatively flat, but Tough Mudder was able to find all of the bumps around the park, as well as eaking out all of the different bits of trail including a little bit of woodland and some nice trails.
Obstacle of note - Electric Eel had a bit of an upgrade which meant it was "full evil". Lumber Jacked made a return to the course - such a simple looking obstacle, but quite taxing for first timers.
Unfortunately due to the thunder and lightening storms, Electro Shock Therapy was closed when we got to it - although I am sure my friends were happy after taking full zaps at Electric Eel.
Well done team, and I hope we get to do it again soon!

Going to have to do this one with one with my season ticket. North West probably one of the few that I can't due to work.
Manchester is quite a fun one, different as they can't dig. But quite flat and they use the park very well.
North West is so late in the year, it's going to be cold, wet and very muddy

I just have the selfie stick. That's it. No lens guard or anything else as it's waterproof
Arctic Enema was grim! 😂
We got paused cos of the thunder just before we went into Arctic and it just made is worse 😂 they had a chance to refill the ice

We were also at the top of Mudderhorn when they said the obstacle was closed 😂

How long does it take to complete ?
For the 10mile (15km ish) average around 2.5 hours. They say whatever your usual running pace is, just double it.
