- STEM NOLA Lung & Respiratory Day 2024: On June 8, Centene Corporation and Louisiana Healthcare Connections partnered with STEM NOLA at Andrew P. Sanchez Multi-Service Center to present ‘STEM NOLA Lung & Respiratory System Day 2024’ to over 150 K-12 kids. Healthcare professionals and physicians representing many specialties including cardiothoracic surgeons interacted with the students.
Among their many activities featured throughout this video, students had the opportunity see some a real sheep lung and heart and build their own mechanical lungs.
