An interesting implementation of secret portals. Not necessarily my jam, but worth thinking about. I must also say that I enjoy your presentations, and am glad to see them show up in my subscription feed. Thank you!
Learning Foundry to run my first game soon, thank you for doing these videos, they’re awesome. I’m definitely going to use the secret doors method, love it. What I’ve done so far for stairs is I’ve used a one way ethereal wall, so from the bottom they can’t see up, but from the top they can see down. So it’s simulating the line of sight for the elevation change. And for the two sets of stairs you have in the video, you might be able to set ethereal terrain walls at the bottom of each set of stairs. Theoretically the player would be able to see down one set of stairs, but not two, simulating the ceiling blocking the first floor now that they’re two flights up.
My own design, but using the 5e rulebooks. I recently learned that the game to game flow is similar to West Marches, in that it allows for a different group of players each game. This is to allow players that can’t commit to a traditional campaign to be able to jump in and play when they can without feeling like they’ve missed too much. I built a short one shot as a tutorial for both me to learn foundry, and to run my players through solo to learn the UI prior to our first game, which should be late October.
@@BeingKyleBrown Very exciting. Please keep me posted, I would like to learn more. I am building my own RPG - more OSR type with a unique method and flair. Thank you for watching my videos.
Ahhh...It is "ethereal" not "ethernal". I was thinking about ethernal - as per the rpg I am working on, which is the name of the gods. So it was a Freudian slip - embarrassing.
Thank you for sharing! Love the idea of using the ethereal wall at an angle for inline elevation changes.

Thank you for watching - my warts, mistakes, and screw-ups withstanding.
I know this is an older video, but I love the ideas! Definitely marking this for reference later.
Thanks for watching
Excellent video. Please keep them coming.
More to come!
Using angled ethereal walls for elevations is an inspired idea.

What game are your going to run - a prewritten or your own design? Would like to hear more about it.

How did you make the teleport?
I use the module "Multi-level tokens"
Here is a video setting it up. th-cam.com/video/MI53Dz3YzZ0/w-d-xo.html
