@@arnejohnson7542 I think about 5 or 6 times just this season. There might be others I've missed. The only time he really failed was first time versus the Lions.
Lions were loading the line in the red zone and forcing Darnold to pass. There wasn't a lot O'Connell could do other than throw it since they had fewer guys in coverage but Darnold missed some throws. He was getting a lot of pressure, in his defense, even though we were keeping a RB and a TE to help block. So the O-line failed too.
Interior o-line was terrible. Despite that, Darnold had several open receivers that he just couldn’t hit. Can’t abandon the run, but going to be hard if the line can’t help Jones and Akers. Vikings win a close game.

I remember when Darnold played atrociously against Jacksonville after the Vikes lost back to back games midseason and everyone said the season was over and Sam was cooked. We then won 9 in a row and Sam played the best ball of his life. Despite how terrible Sam played it was still a 1 possession game in the 4th quarter against Detroit. The Vikings may have had an off game last week but the rams have been off the last month and the Vikings are a better team at almost every position outside of qb, I just don’t see how the spread is this close.

With all due respect, Sam Darnold played his worst game of the season and the offense was horrible because of it. They still only scored 5 less than the rams have averaged in their last 3 games with their starters, and they have not played great defenses either. Any pick of the rams to win is based solely off the Vikings long history of post season failure, and doesn’t actually have anything to do with how these two teams are playing right now.
