  • Harmony is a borough in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Harmony was incorporated in 1840 and its downtown designated a National Historic Landmark District in 1974. There are more than 50 preserved buildings in the historic district. Harmony was settled by German immigrants in search of religious freedom in 1840. The village of Harmony is situated where American Indians trails once crossed. George Washington traveled those trails, in 1753 at the direction of the lieutenant Governor of the Virginia Colony. I found Harmony so charming while visiting the area. So much rich history, from the many log cabins to the historic buildings. The Harmony Inn was a Pearce's Italianate style home built in 1856, now a American Tavern with dining area and outdoor garden.

I grew up in the places you video, New Phila, Gnadenhutten, Tusky, Dover etc. and couldn’t wait to grow up and leave. Now I think back of youth and simple times long gone and missed. 👍
