I came out of Royal Navy in ‘75, went down mines at Tilmanstone for 4 years but spent lots of time-off in Canterbury. Lived in Herne Bay, got into motorcycles in big way too!
This is great, such cool photos capturing everyday life nearly half a century ago (you must be a similar age to me: I'm 61, and have lived in Herne Bay / Thanet area since I was 22). Keep the videos coming!
nice one J, superb work, if you have any images of the 70s Burgate Restaurant in Burgate junction with Butchery Lane it would be great to see in a future video, great memories of sausages and chips, tea, cakes and banana split there
