  • This is a radio that can connect to Wi-Fi and also use your SIM card.
The method to use your own SIM card is quite simple.
Of course, If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to leave a comment below.
    Thanks for watching.

The first bunch was sold very quickly! But I have a question - do you plan to change anything - software updates or redesigning the model? Many commenters say that MW reception could be better and they would love SSB, Airband, shortwave amateur and CB bands.
    I'd personally add DAB+.
I have also read that your model uses your own database concerning the online radio streams - no Nuvola, no MediaU. If it is true, I think that it would be great to let the users propose their own stream addreses, it could even be done automatically, let's say when a user adds their custom URL that is not in your current database, it could be automatically added for everyone using the radio.
Cant wait to see the development of the project and one day I will definately buy this unit. The SIM slot was something that I was looking for for several years.
And I love that there are two batteries, cause most portable internet radios can work shortly on one battery, up to several hours.

I checked the IMEI with both AT&T and Verizon in the US and they indicated that it was not compatible with their networks. We should have the option to update via WiFi, or at least by connecting to a computer, not just by SIM card.

A standard sim card from the largest Belgium provider Telenet does not work. Neither does a data-only card. No possibility to change the APN, or provider.

"Supports SIM cards globally" - except "the 4G network bands in Australia are FDD Band1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and TDD band 40, while this radio supports 4G FDD bands 2, 4, 5, and TDD band 40. Only Band 5 and Band 40 are common bands, which leads to the inability to normally connect to the 4G base station network" as advised by Choyong support.

Can I remove my T-mobile SIM card from my U.S. cell phone and expect it to work? If my cell phone is in HOTSPOT mode will the LC90 connect to it via WiFi the same as my home router? Will there be a future radio to include 3-30MHz shortwave and USB/LSB (single sideband) for shortwave?

Hello, this radio does support U.S. SIM cards, and we are currently considering the possibility of adding SSB to the radio.

@@choyongradioAdding SSB would be a major upgrade for the shortwave and Amateur Radio Operator interest
provided you offer fine tuning to turn in the SSB signal.
It would be the only portable that also contains an Internet Radio. If it can connect to a cell phones HOTSPOT
just like it can connect to a home router it would offer portable Internet use. Additional videos showing how
to add a Internet Radio stations streaming link would be a benefit too. Thanks

To make this the perfect radio. It needs to be able to save music to the SD card. This would be the dream radio then.

@@choyongradio I think the person means the radio should have the ability to record from analogue radio or internet radio source (from the LC90) directly onto the TF card, in other words "record played audio from LC90 onto TF".

Yeah, they can keep adding features and you'll soon have a $500 radio that you can't afford. Geez.....

Card slots open and at the bottom? Dust and humidity will do their work.

Hello Dear, there are foot pads at the bottom of the radio, so the card slot is elevated from the desktop, no need to worry. And you can see the foot pads of the radio at the 20-second mark in this video.
