- During the first live shows of The X Factor, an explosion takes place resulting in ITV1 losing the X Factor. Here's how ITV1 handled the situation.
Disclamer : The events in this video are not real. This is for mock purposes only. Please do not take anything serious from this video.
Epilogue - There was a few things I had to cut out since they where too hard to create. One of them was a mock GMTV report with John Stapleton and the other was the beginning of the X Factor where the host was on stage talking about last Saturday's event.

This is excellent, your best work, my only slight nitpick would be the gravity of the situation ITV most likely wouldn't be putting on Millionaire later that evening even after a delay. ITV 1 programmes could be moved to ITV2 or postponed outright that evening. The way you showed ITV 2 dealing with the situation to begin with however was pretty much spot on and the announcers throughout were very realistic and the ending would pretty much exactly be what would have happened if something like this was to happen back in 2006. Keep it up 👍

I would think that ITV1 would've kept Millionaire on in order to give the newsreaders a rest and also to lighten the mood a little bit. I do think however that ITV1 would have some sort of ticker at the bottom of the screen (just like with ITV2) to update viewers on what is going on.
I added in the ITV2 bit because while making this, I had a thought about what ITV2 would do in a situation like this with The Xtra Factor. It was actually going to be the announcer linking to an Beat and Worst Xtra Factor but I think this would've been more what ITV2 would do.

@@clarkejoseph49 It’s honestly kinda creepy to me how both Ingram’s fraudulent £1,000,000 win and 9/11 happened so close together. The win was on the 9th of September, I believe, just 2 days before.

These scenario are getting more and more better than I could ever think of. If you do know the game Freedom Fighters then you should know what the SAFN News is. Since this is supposed to be the equivalent of the BBC in the Freedom Fighters world, could it be possible to do an SAFN London with graphics and all?

The first one. It was being done as a protest as a way to overthrow the government for their part in the Iraq War in 2003. The thing is, this wasn’t the only show they Hijacked….

ITV 1 announcer: This is ITV 1. I'm sorry to say this, but we've lost all power to Fountain Studios, where The X Factor is taped. It was only several minutes into it when the link was lost.
ITV intern: Massive explosion at Fountain Studios. Everyone was killed.
ITV 1 announcer: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING!!!
ITV 1 intern: I'm not joking. I'm serious. Host, judges, singers, crew, those in attendance: all dead.
ITV 1 announcer: What about the Xtra Factor on ITV 2?
ITV 1 intern: Also killed. Make an announcement.
ITV 1 announcer: Sorry about this. Our intern has forced me to say this, so here goes.
(ITV 1 announcer takes a deep breath)
ITV 1 announcer: Fountain Studios, where The X Factor is taped, has been totally destroyed by a massive explosion. Unfortunately, everyone that was there during the live taping was killed.
(ITV 1 announcer starts crying)
ITV 1 announcer: The people who did ITV 2's Xtra Factor were also killed.
(ITV 1 announcer cries harder)
ITV 1 announcer: Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the hosts, judges, singers, crew members, and those in attendance.
(ITV 1 announcer cries even harder)
ITV 1 announcer: Even the people who did ITV 2's Xtra Factor were killed.
(ITV 1 announcer cries harder still)
ITV 1 announcer: I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!!!
(ITV 1 announcer quickly moves away from the microphone)
ITV 1 announcer: IF ANYONE NEEDS ME, I'LL BE OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOT CRYING NEAR MY CAR!!!
(ITV 1 announcer heads for the parking lot; an ITV 1 intern takes over)
ITV 1 intern: Sorry about that. We here at ITV 1 have sent someone out to the parking lot comfort her. The damage done to Fountain Studios has made an attempt to rebuild it totally impossible. Effective immediately, regular nighttime programming will replace both The X Factor on ITV 1 and Xtra Factor on ITV 2. A new version of TV Times will be delivered next week to reflect these changes. Here on ITV 1, The Price Is Right with Joe Pasquale.
(ITV 1 ident card replaces a live taping of The Price Is Right)
Joe: We're sorry that we had to do this, but we unfortunately got word that X Factor came to a permanent end. But, guess what? ITV 1 viewers are just in time for our first Pricing Game: Pushover! Let's show you the prize that the contestant is playing for!

The slight volume change when the announcer says "You have got to be kidding", essentially simulating them moving away from the microphone, is the literal icing on the cake for me. Amazing effort. A+

Brilliant scenario! I love that this era of ITV receives recognition and it was played out very well.
Every detail down to the human continuity presenter rather than an automated emergency alert voice (as the severity of the situation has not been realised at such short notice) explaining the situation to the swift cut to the news.
However, if i was to add constructive criticism, i would say it makes more sense the continuity announcer to only speak on the interruption and the cut to the news, and leave the description of the incident to the news itself, although i understand that would be a challenge given there likely isnt going to be a real person who would want to make such a fake report.
I love theese types of analogue horror videos especially with eas scenarios n stuff like that with old british tv from the 90's to 2010's. A mix of horror and nostalgia that is perfect
