Thank you for this. I am a lifelong Camel fan and Breathless is my favourite song of the many great Camel sets. In fact this is the exit music for my funeral to bring life back to the gathering. Others are Drafted (Nude), Never Let Go, City Life, Simple Pleasures.Watching the Bobbins. Camel are seriously under-rated band.
Recuerdo con increíble alegría mi sorpresa al ver a mi banda favorita en ese programa. En esa gira pude ver a Camel en directo en Badalona. Muchas gracias por las imágenes.
As Francisco suggested, the TVE series broadcast in Spain was 'Aplauso' (the set is very recognisable) and the episode was TX 2 December 1978 or 27 January 1979, as those dates with Camel appearing have been listed online and also tie into the IMDb episode listings. Camel were also on tour with Dave Sinclair, Richard Sinclair and Jan Schelhaas, performing in Spain in November 1978. RTVE don't list either of those episodes in their database online unfortunately. They are most likely lost as complete masters, but it would be worth contacting the broadcaster to confirm.
@@池島賢 Thanks for that info, he’s only ever played that Jazz bass in anything I’ve ever seen. I don’t think he even owns another bass from what I can tell.
The gods have decreed that I not witness the whole performance of this song prior to my eternal rest. When I wake up I expect breakfast in bed with this playing on the Tele or I will be pressing the snooze button.
The sound here is from the original version from the Camel album Breathless. We are not hearing a live version. The album version still features Pete Bardens, Andy Ward, Richard Sinclair, Andy Latimore and Mel Collins. This would have been way cool if it was a live version....
this track is exceptionnal, because never play on stage!! the complete song will be genious! if you know if this compete track exist,i am sure as andy Latimer will be interested to see!!
Hola efectivamente estas imágenes corresponden al programa de Televisión Española llamado Aplauso de 1978.Aprovechando que estaban de gira por España tocaron 1 o 2 temas en Play-Back en Aplauso.
@@oddities-whatnot Richard told me that he was held on a retainer by Camel/Latimer for a year but it was not renewed after that time. Don't know about Dave.

THX Francisco!
Un saludo y arriba CAMEL¡¡¡¡
Bien visto, Francisco.
Viva Camel!
Peter Bardens had just left the band and Richard Sinclair followed shortly after so this must be one of his last appearances with the band.
Richard and Dave Sinclair left Camel after they'd completed dates in Japan and California (January and February 1979).
Why did they leave, anybody know ? Cheers

Why only 29 seconds of video and the song stops?
영상이 짧다 ㅠㅠ
is there more of this recording?
Hi Ed, I am sorry I don't know. I only know it is from the Spanish TV show.
Two keyboardists here..the irony being that there were hardly any keyboards on this track.
