    I'd love to see you integrate a crater in the street where the Avengers are fighting to illustrate some destruction. That'd be pretty funny.

    I’m glad you want to do vlogs on your city instead of reviews- I would much rather watch that content than reviews of sets I can see anywhere. Your city vlogs are why I am a subscriber.

    You could add your gift shops to the base plates next to the entrance so they can be accessible to the public as well as the people in the park

    Love seeing the progression of the city Bricksie! For the newly built masonry wall at 14:36, I cuould totally see that being used for a nice grafitti mural or some poster/billboard space if it was irl. not sure how that would look/work in lego

    That wall was a masterstroke, it fits perfectly with the Bricklink train station and gives a nice stop point moving from the city into the amusement park.

    You should do a bridge that goes over the amusement park tracks, looks great 👍👍👍

    The top of the tan wall by the train station needs some black decorative toppers of some kind to match the train station. It will make it look even more cohesive. Loving the downtown extension!

    You can always tell when an “entertainer” is enjoying what they are doing. It makes whatever they’re doing so much more enjoyable to watch. It’s also great for the mental health of the entertainer and makes their work feel like less of a job. While I enjoy all of your content, I certainly enjoy your Mocs and other “projects” more.

    19:30 for the plate beside it you could add another wall and have a section for the park employees to relax and get out of their mascot costumes, like what you had in the amusement park update from your previous city layout

    You could build a community garden on the half plate spaces, Or perhaps build stores with apartments above. Loving these videos. I too have a Lego Town, although mine is primarily Lego friends - something not many have done. I'm envious you have the space to do this!

    Hi Bricksie, great roadwork in the downtown expansion.
    Just as an idea. It would be cool if you would built some sort of a walking bridge over the disney train tracks and put the entrance of Bricksieland on top of it. The grand entrace will also greate extra hight and therefore the sign more visible 😃

    boards on their wide side will bow under the weight. Straightening the edge will serve you much better. and you could use 2x4s on edge to give more clearance and would be stronger than the 2x6 laid flat.

    @Bricksie, just wanted to ask, in one of your vids I noticed inside your tub of doom there was a Acidicus. (And maybe others) If you didn't really need it, it would be so helpful if you could send it over as I have nearly completed my Venomari tribe. If not then that's ok. Also great vid!

  • @scioli700
    @scioli700 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    16:17 my humble opinion on new Lego set reviews, sure it gets you views and sets early but ultimately it helps out Lego in the end and only puts stress and a time crunch on you and everything you have going on (family,city,new warehouse, happiness, etc) It's like doing dreaded overtime at a 9-5. 😂 I personally watch for the Lego CITY you're building. Maybe you can delegate the new set builds/review to Simon or someone if allowed? Or just say bye to them all together. It's your life, live it!

    • @thomashayes507
      @thomashayes507 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree! Being a member of LAN is a double edged sword! There are a bunch of LEGO set reviewers … but there are very few LEGO City builders that are as genuine as Bricksie and are very appealing to follow and watch!

    At 19:59, you can see the caboose of the disney train right after talking about the empty spots. What about a mini walk up museum/photo Op before you enter the park? You put glass on the walls to see the engine, but maybe you could make the caboose boardable for like a walk-through thing? IDk just an idea, but the city looks incredible. Amazing work as always

  • @christopherwright9668
    @christopherwright9668 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey Bricksie - the city looks great! A word of caution about your carpentry work, installing the 2x6s horizontally may be enough to hold the weight of the Lego, but may not be sturdy enough to hold your own weight. I've seen past videos where you've gotten onto the tables to do work. Please be careful and you may want to consider reinstalling the 2x6s vertically like they were before.

  • @PyraDraculea

    One-way roads are also kinda more authentic for a downtown core... or at least every downtown I've ever been in was plagued with at least a few one-ways, lol.
    Looking great as always!

    When you start on the amusement park you should integrate a railroad crossing into the entrance. I have seen plenty of park with tram lines and such in the road that guests can walk on. But usually there is some sort of signaling to let you know if the train or tram is approaching.

    Looking good Jordan! The double height station has so much thought put in just like your other customs. I’m looking forward to seeing your new boutique hotel. Just a suggestion; I think it would be more commuter friendly to have your one-way system go counter clockwise that way the driver stays on the road side and passengers can get out on the right side in the pull-in areas (Im assuming your city is left-hand drive)

    19:52 how about a bridge over the train tracks? The stairs could fit right next to the entrance (doubled back and maybe next to an elevator). the visitors could look out over the train, and it could lead to a ride or something else cool. I think if you’re going to have all the people waiting outside the park, they wouldn’t want to wait inside for a train to pass. Just something to think about. Cool video, and I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying yourself.

    @allysonbell7289 ปีที่แล้ว

    Loving the updates. An idea you could do next to the bricksie land entrance is you could turn the 16x32 plate into an employee area (custodian area, spare costumes and an employees break room) and the other part could be the park exit with a souvenir gift shop ( it expands the amusement park with out taking on much real-estate and good fillers for awkward areas) again loving the progress and the details

    I have a suggestion to address your parking predicament. Build a stackable parking structure, that's what a lot of down town cities do. You could build a parking structure where you can stack the levels so they are removable to set up scenes on each level.

    You do realize that unfinished wood expands and contracts depending on the season and the humidity in the air. You are in a basement with a furnace it could be what is causing the issue of the wood warping. You should look into running a humidifier or dehumidifier to correct the issue.

  • @signordarcy
    @signordarcy ปีที่แล้ว

    You could a. place the multi-colour wall parallel to the Bricksie land entrance, road side, so the available studs are inside the park; b. remove the light bluish grey obstacles in the tan wall corner, in order to achieve more park places and facilitate the parking in the currently ones (e.g. the one with the limousine): you 'd have the spaces for vendors anyway; and c. do the same with the "peninsula" between the hotel and the station, where the man in black with ring is "flying".

    For the spot between the train station and the amusement park entrance, how about a train themed cafe. The back could be all clear panels so you can watch the trains go by. You could re-moc your Platform 9 3/4 into a train/Harry Potter themed cafe.
    Also along the train line at the front of the table if you wanted a safety barrier I was going to suggest those pieces you removed from the amusement park entranced and called “tacky.” Just in a different colour like black. Would provide that barrier without it being a big wall all the way along.

    brick built roads do look way better in my opinion, the road plates are a great substitute but they just don't have that smooth finish the brick built roads have, and I feel like those rectangular pieces all over it really distracts from the detail around them.
