thanx sir for this informative lecture but I studied in our texts that the cardiac defects are common in Hunter syndrome and the only important differentiating point from Hurler syndrome is the corneal clouding???
having studied most of the biochemistry books and internal medicine books I can confidently say that cardiac defects are more common in Hurler syndrome and also in fact cardiac failure due to cardiomyopathy is the cause of death in these patients. Cardiac defects are less common in Hunter syndrome.
Sir in Hunter there is mental retardation better say the dementia is present in Hunter and there is progressive losing of skills in 5-6 years of age And also there is Kyphosis and Scoliosis Kindly correct it sir your video...Thank u
Thank you for the feedback. In simple words "mental retardation" is different from "dementia". mental retardation is more specific with varying degree of decline in cognition but dementia includes varied signs and symptoms including behavioral changes. You can refer more on this by doing a key word search like "how to distinguish between mental retardation and dementia" you will know more on this topic. Again thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Yes in terms of mental retardation they will have mild degree.
I thought the spelling is kyphosis
In what topic this lecture fall?
This topic falls under glycosaminoglycans (GAGS) under proteoglycans topic.
