To calculate the material needed in a bend, you want to find the arc length. The arc length of a 360 degree circle is 2*pi*radius. Multiply that buy the angle you want to achieve and divide by 360. For example, 4" centerline radius die would need 2*3.14*4"=25.12". So it would take 25.12" to make a complete circle. For a 70 degree angle, multiply that be 70 and divide by 360=4.88". This won't account for the material stretch though. I hope that helps.

Your vision, skills and execution are mind-blowing. To basically design as you go takes a lot of experience and knowledge. Just your bending and notching skill is a sight to behold.
I think you have also saved a lot of weight from this video with a massive reduction of kinda's. Makes it much more pleasant to watch.

@@markgriffin4888 The opposite is true. I can't stand it. Superfluous use of filler words is usually a sign of being uneducated. When seemingly intelligent people do it, it is so damn annoying. I am slightly OCD with things like that, and it really spoils my enjoyment. I point it out to anyone I talk to face-to-face as well, so it is not a keyboard warrior thing.

damn that's a HUGE amount of weight savings even despite the amount of tube used etc... crazy work. Any plans to swap the radiator core support for a more idk, "standardized" piece (flat stock/ etc)? Not sure how to word it exactly.

Hi Sir. Very inspiring videos. Thank you for your time. Question: On your tubing bender, what kind of hydraudlic pump do you use for your set up? I found your other video on the bender.. Thanks

Just a tip, you can stand on the scale while holding each part and subtract your body weight. Seems a bit more accurate than trying to balance it on the scale just my experience 🤙🏻

In the background of the shot where you picked up the car is a stack of wheel cribs. Im curious as to the size of them. I have material to build some but I don’t think I need them as big as I planned (16x16x15). I need the height to do body work in the rockers and chassis mods. Love the channel and have learned a lot since the days at the old shop and the Bibbsters humble beginnings

Amazing work, however if you remove the original bumper reinforcement off the original front clip, it's gonna be lighter than. The one you made. Then you can either use the newer fiberglass reinforcement or you can make your on small reinforcement bar and probably be the same weight as what you made. So all the weight on the original is the original bumper reinforcement.

Son ... of.....a .....bitch..... I seriously learnt me something today. Haha The radius always throws me for a loop! Thanks man, I will put the logic you gave me to work. It worked for carbon fiber components, I gave that a try, and now it is so easy. Thanks again man!

Wouldn't the removal of the front 'crash bar' make it that your vechicle won't be registerable, I don't know if the vechicle has airbags or not ??????

Most states don’t have an inspection requirement, especially if it’s already registered.
