I speak both English and Swedish and I agree that the Swedish version is better.. when you know Swedish I'd say much better. Helen's character is supposed to be an ordinary person and that comes through in the Swedish version but the translation doesn't make it sound natural for the character. The English translation is too formal. Still, even in this version I get emotional - and I don't even believe in a God.
They changed it SO much in the translation. I feel like the english version is a lot more hopeful, vs the desperation of the original. Like the og is a scream of rage almost, cause she feels like god has abandoned her. To the point where she's wondering if he was ever there at all. If he's even real. English version is like... I dunno like shes still expecting him to be there, to help. She's still in a bad space, but she's not desperate.
