    Every Wednesday after a video is released on TH-cam, I do a live Q&A session, at 3 PM EDT. I may also take the opportunity to discuss something in the video in more detail or maybe something I realize I didn’t talk about in the video. Some of the quilting cherubs share their own insight on the topic with others too!! Come and check it out!
    You can also join our community group, “HALO’s Creative Kingdom” ( / 795507740874535 . This is a wonderful, supportive group of quilting cherubs. We have a HALO’s Happy Hour in the community that meets with me and other quilting cherubs, live, usually once a week. We hope to see YOU in there!
    May you continue to be inspired, productive, and joyful! And may you never stop making your dreams in quilting come true!

    I am not sure you will get this comment; I just want to tell you how much I appreciate this video. Am making it into a kig quilt for my son and have returned to this video more times than I count rechecking the steps. ( have done a lot of ripping, lol ). but loving every step of t he way in completing it! I would dearly love to be able to correspond with you as I love your sense of humor! Thank you again for this video!

      Wow!!! A King Size!!! That is going to be beautiful!!! Sew wonderful to hear that you are enjoying the process. Although we don't like ripping....it does happen more times than we like. LOL Are you from the western side of PA? I ask because you said that you liked my sense of humor. My family is originally from there, and I like to believe (it may all be in my head, for sure) that their sense of humor rubbed off on me. It will be interesting to hear where you are from! Super good to hear you enjoy the video, too!! Thank you for your kind words, and Happy Quilting!!-Angel

      @@HALO_Inspirations I’m thinking a light blue/teal color - he has a boat and a plane - so, I’m thinking along the lines of the blue sky or blue water with white as the opposing color. Maybe a light blue and dark blue would work too?

    This method works great! Thank you. So much easier than the traditional method. Caution: when trimming one of the blocks, I didn't center it carefully enough and it caused the points to be off by more than 1/4 inch. Oops.

    I love the idea of FPP as that’s what i do the most, however i have yet to find a paper piecing pattern for the Hunters Star, any suggestions would be helpful. I do like the way you’ve created this though, thank you so much for sharing

      I went out and looked for an FPP pattern. I found some on Etsy. Other than that, it was a miss. There are probably patterns out there. I will look again on Tuesday, when I'm at the shop. You have inspired me to create one of our own!! Thanks for asking and for stopping by!

    Is it an inch or 1/2 inch? I'm confused

    • @HALO_Inspirations

      If speaking of 7" squares, it is 1/2". I spoke incorrectly, and put the correct amount in text on bottom of video. Thanks for asking for clarity! We truly want success for you!! Happy quilting!

    One of the first quilts I saw years ago I wanted to make before I've even made my first quilt. I've seen like six different ways to make this quilt and this by far makes more sense than sewing together little bias pieces. This I'm going to make very soon. Did you spiral the seams on the back where the flower comes together? Thank you thank you 💗 grateful!!!

    • @HALO_Inspirations
      @HALO_Inspirations  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Terri, you and I must think a like!! It has been on my bucket list for a while! I too have seen "sew" many ways to put this together, and worked to create a way to not only make it easier, but to be sure to use the extra fabric. I would love to see your finished quilt!!! I am excited that you found this method to be what made sense to you and you will finally get to take one of those quilts off your own bucket list!!! As far as the spiraling of the seams...you know, I didn't. However, it is exactly the place to do it...super cute and will help those points lay flatter. I personally didn't have any trouble with the centers of the stars not being flat...but, great idea! Thank you for commenting and for stopping by!!! Look forward to hearing from you again!!!

    You frequently say the wrong number when drawing lines , but luckily the text on the screen is correct. For example, marking the 7 inch squares the lines are 1/2" apart, not 1"

    • @HALO_Inspirations
      @HALO_Inspirations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a human, I "sew" do make mistakes. I try to catch them during the edit process and put the text on screen! I'm glad that the text is working! :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It is appreciated! Be Inspired & Believe! XOXO-Angel

    I just watched Eleanor Burns do this quilt but she called it LaMoyne star.

    • @HALO_Inspirations
      @HALO_Inspirations  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A Huntsr Star is a variance of the LaMoyne star. There are several names for the same block in quilting. So, that doesn't surprise me. Isn't Eleanor Burns amazing!?! Thanks for sharing, and Happy quilting!

    • @HALO_Inspirations
      @HALO_Inspirations  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are talking about around min 12:53, I did put words down for you to see the correct measurements. It is 1/2" from the drawn line. I used the side of the ruler with a 1/2" I said an inch, but corrected it. I also checked where the ads are being placed on the video, and removed the one that may be masking the words. Thank you for reaching out! If I don't have the right place, let me know, please. There is nothing worse than wrong info!!! Happy Hunter Star Quilting to you!

    Is this 4 block patch make a 20" ?

    • @HALO_Inspirations
      @HALO_Inspirations  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The four patch will come to 19 3/4" (before it is in the quilt). Each square is 10 1/8". Adding two together, you will have 20.25". Then you subtract 0.5" for the seams and you will get the 19 3/4. Therefore, your 4 patch should be 19 3/4" by 19 3/4". Great question!
