@@nickywags0712 I don’t think it’s broken, due to being both conditional and involving a coin flip. The card that probably needs a nerf or to be the first card on the HC TCG ban list is probably the Clock. Being able to straight up take a second turn without any cost is stupidly powerful. Jev has a deck where he is chaining rare Joe and Clocks to take multiple extra turns in a row.

@@davidfwooldridge3430 for that reason I wouldn’t want to play Jevin cause where’s the fun in that. I suggested in his stream another deck that was less op for Hermits that are not playing that hardcore. Because at some point people will not want to play you imo.

That Mumbo card is wayyy too broken it feels like an ultra rare, or even a tier above it
They forget about card advantage a lot. Also, I suppose it matters when the card advantage is applies. If it is applied before the doubling then it is (60 + 40 + 40) x 2 = 280. If after it is 260. This is something that matters to rare Doc’s World Eater too.
@@randominternetperson5978 he only had 1 heads + TNT, so (40+40)x2+60=220, +20=240 for synergy
@@jsw973 yeah they need to nerf it and the clock card. Losing an entire turn is really powerful especially since you can bring it back multiple times. The nerf to mumbo probably needs to be like 40 base damage, but adds 20 twice for a max of 160 damage. The clock probably needs to do something else entirely
I love how TCG has advanced to where people have really good and focused decks now. Doc's prankster deck is obviously incredible but Scar's deck worked pretty well, especially with Cleo copying Wels' ability. It'll be interesting to see where how the meta further evolves.
If scar hadn’t had his turn skipped like 4 times Cleo would’ve been healthy enough to be a real threat, I think his deck has good potential

This mini series is great! Started playing the online hermit TCG after watching these because it looked so fun! Great job making the episodes still really fun to watch, not easy when you're just playing a card game

Thank you for uploading Doc! I've been so addicted to watching TCG videos, I've been rewatching everyone's TCG matches for the past couple of days.
I’m really hoping someone starts doing a recap of these matches. It would be super helpful to have the details of the hermit attacks and effects explained.

You're a monster Doc! Everyone is having fun and you use the collective powers of the Hive Mind to create a deck similar to a nuke.
No, seriously, it's amazing what you did there and I'm somewhat similar in that regard, no matter what game I play, I instantly try to break it and find the best possible ways.
That said, you should maybe really consider making a second deck. Being overpowered is not that fun if you play against your friends just for funzies, it can become frustrating for them rather quickly, that will make them stop having fun playing against you, maybe they lose interrest in the TCG at all and then it's done, which would be just super sad. Keep this deck for tournaments or other big occasions and use another one for friendly matches.
I think the most frustrating thing is the Clock-Chest combo. Maybe consider not having a clock in your "friendly-deck"

I feel the same. Have a second lest op deck for fun. It would be sad to see people get disheartened and stop playing because they can’t compete against all the op decks. But I get it. To bad there isn’t more people they can play against for more variety.
Leads tactic is better IMO. So underated but OP if you block everything. I had one game in the online TCG where all item cards of the oponent was just random trash, became useless to them save for a wall, but then again, i use DOTs. XD
I really like how you described your deck and strategy in your main video. Made me really interested to see how these matches will go.
Hi! I love how you all are playing TCG with passion and I'm as hyped as everybody else. On the other hand, I think there is not really a way to counter the prankster mechanics and it breaks the game a little bit. I love it, it shows how you can combine the cards but I did not see any other combo that could compete. I'd love to see new cards to explore even more the possibilities. Good luck with your perfect deck chase, I'm going back to binge watch all of the TCG games I will find

Doc and Jevin are so far ahead with their Decks and matches played that it would've been a challenge for Scar to win that's okay though still fun to watch hopefully Scar still had fun
Pretty sure you should consult Beef on the Mumbo card. The 2x damage should only occur first, or an additive 40 damage after all effects. So max is 40 *2 + 40 *2 = 160 damage
Essentially possible outcomes are:
1) No heads (afk or no afk) = 40 damage
2) 1 Heads no AFK = 80 Damage
3) 2 Heads no AFK = 120 Damage
4) 1 Heads AFK = 120 Damage
5) 2 Heads AFK = 160 damage
Quite simple :P
@@CosmodjinnI agree that this would be more balanced, but I doubt this is the intended interpretation. If it were, the card would just say that the existence of an AFK Prankster would do "+40", not "doubles".

Thank you for making this a separate series. I enjoy the games but I miss actual Hermitcraft antics
I would think Cleo would be a powerful end-match card with a Prankster Deck one most of the cards are played. Kind of like a wildcard, or, I guess you could say, the Jester Card. I almost feel like the AFK hermits need to have their abilities unlocked before the Cleo card can use it, otherwise it's a little too OP.

I think it would be really cool if you helped Scar set up for moving his dragon. He most definitely could use help with that and having a dragon under his theme park castle would be super sweet, which I think is what his plan was.
Wait shoudnt IT bei that Cleo can only puppet an Attack when the afk hermit is also allowed to use It, so when enough Items are attached?

GG Doc! Prankster deck is over powered for sure. However I may be wrong but I think Scar missed an attack with Cleo and just passed turn when he first brought her out. 💕

mumbos card states "total damage is double" id imagine , that would mean that the tnt gets doubled aswell. so 80+60 is 140 & then double that for 280
tnt doesn’t get doubled, it’s just the attack damage itself
It should say "attack damage"
I kinda like the idea of the self-inflicted bounty system. When the goat is too strong you gotta give people a little incentive to try to beat him

Awsome Video as always, two questions, first of all could you maybe break the wither Ai and make a mining maschine oit of it, and secondly, if you dupe the original enderdragon to the overworld and kill him there, couldnt you make an extremly oberpowerd Xp farm?

Is there any common-type hermits that can compete with the rares? Anybody seen anyone using them on purpose?
i know that common gem is pretty powerful, and a lot of the balanced types do powerful damage as well- a damage-focused deck will usually use the common builders and balance types p heavily
Doc in case you arent aware of them there are some fishing rods, which are basically ultra rare chests which let you draw 2 cards... if you managed to get a pair of them you could get into an infinite fishing rod clock loop :D
Fishing rods draw extra cards from your deck, not your discard, so it wouldn't be like a clock-chest combo.

You know what would be fun, if you added some tense music to the background! Think it would simulate a real card game more, and the white noise in between turns wouldn't be as noticeable
Can't the Rare Cleo card be used to copy an AFK Mumbo's attack and then the AFK Mumbo itself would double the damage?

It is fun for a moment to see how busted it is, though if i were beef i would change mumbo to ´if no other hermits are afk´. Still a total nuke but a high risk to loose too
Doc, Mumbo's attack shouldn't have been doubled if he rolled one red/tail. Look at the rule: "if player doesn't roll heads at least once (means you failed once/got the tail), the above (double the damage) doesn't apply. So the damage on 16:19 should be just 140 (80+60 from TNT) damage instead of 220 (160+60).
I’m catching up on some vids, I leave a backlog when I have things going on so I can watch them all at once, can someone let me know if this was back when Scar accidentally played for a while with only 32 cards in his deck?

I think the clock needs to be nerfed by adding a coin toss.
Edit: Making it single use per game or nerfing chests with a coin toss makes sense as well.
It is an ultra rare though... not too different from the rare Joehills, the rare Joe doesn't need chest cards to do it a few times, but it has the coin toss aspect.
Honestly, I think the best nerf it could get is making it so it leaves the game when played rather than discarded, that way the discard pile recursion issue with chest (which is honestly what makes it broken) won’t be possible anymore, it becomes a one and done card, which was probably the initial intent.

Is it possible to make a burn deck in this game? Otherwise, is mill the best answer to Clock decks?
edit: I call it a clock deck because, clearly Mumbo is the finisher, but clock is providing turn advantage and getting mumbo on the field alongside the afk pranksters needed to power him up. Because of clock seems like the engine driving the this deck, and could be powerful in any deck type, I imagine a countermeta is getting worked out.

Beef mentioned that one of the win conditions is if the opponent runs out of cards to draw. In which case, could an excessive use of Rare TFC abilities prove detrimental to you?
In theory yes, but most likely it will never happen. You'd need an opponent with an absolut tanky stalldeck doing no damage and constantly healing their Hermits. The healing items are currently weaker then the offensive attack cards, so I doubt it will ever be a viable strategy. And see it that way: the more cards you draw, the more options you have to kill your opponent. My bet is, we'll never see a deck out here
Technically yes, but in practice not really. The decks are large enough that it will very rarely happens. Also drawing a lot is a huge advantage, and even more with a powerful deck like Doc. So if he is able to draw a ton, he will just win quicker ^^
@@bam3xs yeah the chances of it occuring are slim, however, in conjunction with the composter and flint and steel, it could be possible against a contender with a regen-heavy deck.
There has been a match where this was a problem! Pearl v Gem, who has the best stall deck atm, and Pearl kept using composters and flint and steels. Pearl won in a really clutch win; she had four cards left in her deck.
they'd have to be able to withstand his onslaught, tho. he's got so many 2x item cards, turn skips and card recycling that that seems unlikely.
I'm disappointed cause even Cub didn't pay attention and missed the error in the item card placement.

That was brutal. Not sure I enjoyed that. That can’t of been much fun for Scar. You could’ve not played the clock multiple times and given him a chance to actually play and still have won easily.
And what really made me feel bad is when Scar forgot to add his item card before declaring turn end.. but he was so respectful of the rules, he wouldn't even ask outright if he could do it anyway, and then nobody even responded :(
I play EDH MTG. The main difference I'm seeing from MTG and Hermit TCG is that removal cards aren't that prevalent. Like there seems to be too few cards that mitigate an extremely powerful card like Prankster Mumbo. Would love to see Beef implement something for this
I have a mono-blue MTG deck that I never use, because it is not strong enough for tournaments, but it is too strong to have fun with friends.
I think pvp type is strong against miner type. in the beginning cleo (pvp) attacks TFC (miner), without any extra damage. Still good game tho.

Clock and chest is _brutal,_ I can see a new rule being made that only one clock can be used per side per match
While I get what you're saying, that feels weird in a trading card game to make one off rules like that for specific cards haha usually they are simply banned from play. I think the card needs to be changed to do something else or maybe make it so it is removed from the game on use? As like it's effect
Definitely a good idea to build a 'friendly' deck and keep this one for tournaments, if it's not banned by then haha - that level of power is cool at first, but it sure makes for boring video content :P
You put an item card in you inventory and then when you cleared TFC you put it in your discard pile.
Am i the only one, that watches this TCG Series only 1,5x Speed? For me otherwise its to slow.

Rare Mumbo is so OP lol. Needs a nerf or a hard counter! Clock & chest combo should probably be reigned in a bit too, could probably do with adding a use cost there somewhere...

Yeah me neither, he used Wels' move without it being powered, only cleo was powered. I don't think I'm missing something but none of them thought it was wrong so I'm confused too
Wait I got it duh, cleos move is to use another hermits move and Wels' move deals more damage the more hurt he is, so since cleo was red the move did more damage (base 100 + additional 50 for being red)

Nobody's going to tell Scar that he could have been attacking with Dismissed? That's messed up.
