G is incredible, to still be in the GC fight at his age is amazing
Yes! Last year he got second which is incredible really. He would have surpased Fiorenzi Magni who won at 34 year old in 1955 as the oldest winner of the Giro by quite a bit.
He unfortunately lost by not even a lot, bur still incredible.
What is even crazier is the he won the tou de France in 2018 (6 years ago!) And won gold in the 2008 olympics, even if it is team pursuit track, it's a whopping 16 years ago!!!!!

@@marcdaniels9079 He’s ruining the chances of a breakaway to win a stage (Narvaez) by doing a beastly lead-out sprint. He’s ruining the chances of a 40K TT stage vs the World Champ (Ganna), and he’s just playing around with the other GC guys during mountain stages. So, yes, his own UAE training camps may be even more challenging lol.

Kind of weird that Dani Martinez performs much better than his stint at INEOS now that he is in Bora. Is INEOS/Team Sky backsliding?
I think people expect too much, it is not Sky anymore. They are still a top team, but not on the level of UAE or Visma and maybe on par with Bora and others.
Unlike most Prem league footballers they tell it how it is. I hope its not a done deal for UAE.
