Vintage Sony Reel To Reel Tape Recorder Model TC 330 Repair Part 1

This here is a vintage Sony Reel to Reel tape recorder model TC-330. This was a eBay find. At first glance it appeared to be in great cosmetic condition but you can see some of the trim pieces came off. Reglued those back on. Some of the idler wheel linkages were gummed up so had to take those apart and remove the old grease so they would move again. It needs a run capacitor and I think the amplifier boards need new caps as the audio is very quit and lacks any bass. Controls are still a bit scratchy despite spraying them multiple times with contact cleaner. I'll revisit this unit sometime down the line and possibly try re-capping it. As far as run capacitors go a standard 1.5UF 250volt ceiling fan capacitor will work.
