What do y’all think about the Keeley Tone Workstation? Is it a county in a box pedal? Is there something it can’t do? For those of you looking for just the tones video - you can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/C-frH96GIjc/w-d-xo.html
I love this pedal, but the buttons are close together, which means that if you use it live you have to be careful with your foot. Similarly, as everything is in this one box, you have to keep reaching down to change during the set. If you have these pedals individually you can just switch them on and off with your foot and keep the settings set. Love the tones though.
Hey always glad to hear people recognize it every now and then. As far as reverb and Delay, I try to keep it as simple as possible. I run an Axe FX so I’m in the same boat of you could use everything or anything.. But I like and gravitate towards the analog delays and spring reverbs
Interesting, I like the versatility. I have a Keeley Aria, which has the sweet Keeley compressor. Just not a fan of the overdrive it has. This pedal looks worth checking out.
Other than the knobs and switches being soooo close together, the only other issues are the locations of the input/output/power jacks-they are just awkward and difficult with right-angle plugs and possibly a critique that someone may want to change the order of the effects.
The knobs haven’t given me any issue yet - but that’s probably because I am typically a set and forget kinda of guy. But the foot switches being too close together is quiet annoying. I’ve placed the tube screamer side right next to my delay pedal so I can switch them both on at once, but if I only hit one…. Man it’s a pain
@@ryansnydercg I does help if you have boots on rather than sneakers! For the input jacks I either had it right above the access slots on the pedaltrain board(so the signal plugs could angle down and the power plug could angle sideways) or on a custom board I built, I created a raised section for the upper row that was 1/2 inch higher and let the plugs angle down slightly
I clicked on this cause is said country guitar, I skimmed through the video, and didn't find a good Country sound, not that it might not have been in there somewhere. I expected the entire video to be about a pedal for great country pickin' sounds, I found none of that. I can't think of a set up that can't sound halfway decent, as good for strumming chords for Country Songs as I heard in this clip. I misunderstood the title. : ) I thought it was about Country Guitar, I don't know anyone that thinks primarily about strumming chords when talking about Country Guitar, least of which any guitar players. If we have a Country Pickin 'sound' , the chording is for sure going to be fine, the inverse of course is not going to be even remotely the case.
Thanks for checking out the video. So 95% of the songs I played demoing the pedal were from country songs, but you're right most chicken picking comes from the playing style through a clean amp - don't really need any effects for the classic chicken picking sound.

Hardly anyone heard it but I did --great little snippet of "Nemo" in there!

Very good point. That’s always the one “problem” I’ve had with pedals is most of the time I can’t just set it and forget it
I get it, can be having a great show and then I become a total stumble bum stepping on everything at once....hahahaha
Like that piece for umphreys McGee!!! I use a headrush pedal board. What reverb and delays you recommend if any???

I'd never heard of the Aria... going ot have to look into that but yea Keeley's compressor is an absolute beast
Someone watched the old Jim Lill video on this pedal 😂. Almost verbatim lol. Great demo!
I do wish he’d bring back all the old videos lol that way I wouldn’t have too recreate them 🙃

No longer available.
Yea unfortunately not. They can still be found on the used market
Too many choices and too expensive.
It definitely is a lot of options
