That's a beautiful ride. I have been overlooked on a blue/silver Honda multiple times. Now I ride exact the same as you (F650ST in Orlando Orange). I hated the colour but haven't been overlooked by other traffic once. Also one of the most comfortable and easy to ride motorcycles ever.
Because it was not something common back then. You have a switch to turn on on the side of the motorbike when you hit the reserve (when you got around 5L left), so just enough to find a gas station ;)
