Dec’24-Feb’25 - Time to refi..
Refi at the end of the year, not now.
Is that the reason why FHA and VA loans took a hit, against the other mortgage offerings, this week? Because the fed is reducing its holdings?
no when the fed says they are reducing their holdings they are selling MORTGAGE BONDS in general. thats the easiest way to explain it doesnt effect any single loan product
Dan can you explain again mortgage rates minus bond rate as that spread gets bigger or smaller what that means ??
Thank you for the daily updates! Hoping the cuts come and we get down into the 5% range.
Why? They need to raise rates, not cut them.
Same!
Fingers crossed!
Not a single smirk about 35 trillion? Nothing? Significant progress???
funny how NO ONE is talking about this. ELECTION YEAR
Im on the contrary path, I believe they will raise rates in September
You mention that when they say "reduce security holdings" , they will sell MBS , wont that reduce the price of a unit and then drive up the interest rates ?
YOU GOT IT this is whats keeping rates Higher than they should be based on historical data
GREAT JOB recognizing this
Good video Dan
thanks SPEED
Big mistake
@@cremls The Fed is always slow to react. Agreed if they raise rates that would be a big mistake.
Rates need to be raised, not cut.
That's exactly how I felt when Covid hit. Housing prices were just starting to come down in 2019, then the Fed cut rates with Covid and housing took off. The Fed doesn't care about prices or the stockmarket. It cares about the balance of inflation and unemployment.
Yeah and cripple the economy
@@bigd2256 how's this going to cripple the economy? The markers are at all time highs at the current rates.
@@CaliSteve169 because it's a delicate balance. You're basically arguing for recession. With inflation coming down and rates not changing it becomes restrictive to borrow/invest. The last thing the FED wants is deflation if they wait too long, there's no fix for that in their tool belt.
@@BitsOfInterest I know the fed doesn't want deflation, but I do. Deflation means that my savings will buy me more. Inflation is the worst tax there is and I really don't get why people are begging for it.
