I just found this song tonight and can’t stop listening to it. During high school, I never liked who I was and found those four years (especially senior year, believe it or not) to be the worst time of my life thus far. Looking back now after hearing this song, I’m inspired to let it all go and start college and my future on a new step, a new page, and a new life. Completely disagree. This is this very bland music video. No plot, just zoom in on body parts, drone shots and overuse of rotating transitions. Besides, 1 out of the 3 minutes is just a recreation of the lyric video, so a big chunk of the audience leaves before the shots start because it’s a third of it is the same as the lyric video. This would be way more interesting if it had some plot and I feel like it would go better with magical effects instead of nature shots and rotation. I find the music video bland and boring from the first seconds personally, even though I like the song. You can try to take as much meaning from this as possible, but at the end of the day the views in comparison with other better music videos she has (even if the song is crappier) do better and prove my point.
