I mean i just miss those start ups like dam it just sometimes feels like it is not even a sci fi anime qith that airceaft carrier start up. If they can show that even if it is in a spaceship. Man it would be epic.
There was a trailer that had a macross plane falling to earth at the end and it had an amazing song playing but i can't remember it to save my life.... anyone have any idea what im on about ?

+Wingman1977 Just how is he wrong? Yes its new footage for the game but it makes sense that scene follows DYRL since the movie never showed what happened before the Macross left Earth. Not to mention the Macross in that game is same as in DYRL.
+Treven Raish This series' fighters were based on the F-14. The animators loved Top Gun and wanted to do make the flight sequences reminiscent of what the opening sequence to Top Gun was like.
Rob- Tech is only a meaningless imitation of Macross. Mangle and mix with different(completely irrelevant) three Japanese animes then renamed it is ROB-TECH. So, even the story, character setting, ... are different from the our original of Macross. People of the world continued being deceived for a long time. And we Japanese grieved heartily for this long time of 30 years. Please do not cooperate with crimes any more.
mai tai not our faults you people dont know how to tell s story properly. Dont get mad robotech makes sense and that Japanese TV people weren't smart enough to take these stories and make them make sense. because fact is robotech is faaaaaaaaar more popular than macross.
Gatekeeping like this makes people forget that a lot of people had their first exposure to Macross and many other anime titles because of Robotech. It's not the pure stuff but it definitely gave a lot of people an appreciation for anime and Macross especially.
I remembered playing this back in 98', very impressive detail of art and animation.

何度見ても、この動画は良いなぁ。位置づけとしては、「愛おぼえていますか」の方なんだけど（プロメテウス轟沈しちゃってるしｗ）、いっそ、「愛おぼえていますか」の方でリメイクしてテレビアニメ化出来ないのかなぁ？（サテライト的にはヤル気なさそうではあるけども）

一応美樹本氏のデザインです。
ありがとうございました。ご返答をきっかけに調べてみたら美樹本氏はいまだに仕事をされているのがわかりました。最近は甲鉄城のカバネリというアニメのキャラデザインも手がけたとか。初代マクロスやトップをねらえの時代よりかなり変遷の歴史が感じられますが、なんとなく優しい線の感じに同じ美樹本氏の絵の雰囲気が感じられました。（＾＾）
