    Great video. Very informative. I ordered one and will be getting it this Sunday. I’m binge watching review videos because I’m worried. I’ve tried 6 keyboards; 4 standard & 2 ergo. I liked one of my ergo but the keys were too hard. I’m excited to get my ergo k860 this Sunday. 😊

    I had my desktop+laptop setup going perfectly, but then somehow lost the pairing on the laptop. Your video helped me to remember the function+2 combo during the unifying receiver setup. I had been trying to turn it on and off over and over again, but the unifying receiver was not finding it. So your info was the crucial missing part. Thanks!

    Good job. Helped me get mine setup. On the backlit key note I agree that the battery life would suffer but also... I think this keyboard is aimed at touch typists. No need to light those keys if your not looking at the board.

    I'm needing the pause/break button for work purposes. Any clue which key that is on here?

    • @YourMobileTech
      @YourMobileTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I understand, pause/break is Fn+P. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll look further into it.

    • @YourMobileTech
      @YourMobileTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Another option you may try is to go to your Windows search bar and type in "keyboard", click on "On-screen keyboard" and you can find the Pause/Break key there. I'm not sure if that works for you, but it is an option.

    How to do a "screenshot" using the ERGO K860 wireless keyboard that seems to lack a "camera" key (?replaced by a battery key). Note already activated the Microsoft (not Apple) function using "fn + P" upon unboxing.

      Screenshots are performed by pressing the "Print Screen" key directly above the backspace key. This essentially copies the screenshot to the clipboard where you can paste it wherever you like. Most people paste into Microsoft Paint to view the screenshot but you can also use photoshop to paste the screenshot. I hope this helps.

      @@YourMobileTechThanks for the instructions on "how to" get a "Print Screen". I need & regularly use the Microsoft 10's SnipIt tool to do "Screen shots" [of specified sections displayed on my computer screen NOT print screen of the entire screen]. Before the activation of the Logitech ERGO K860 keyboard, I was able to activate the "screenshot" function in 2 steps: Windows Start key + Alt key + "S" key. After viewing a TH-cam video, I find I must now engagein > 3 steps to "Take A New Snip": locate the SnipIt program---> open the SnipIt program to select the type function it should do OR left click the SnipIt icon [savd to my tray] --->select "Take A New Snip". Using the the tool this way is a "workaround" for the speedy 2 steps I mentioned above.
      Thank again for your reply.

      @sheilacb989 You're welcome. I thought about the snipit tool but didn't know you wanted a selection of the screen. Either way, I'm glad you were able to achieve the results you were looking for.

      @@YourMobileTech Thanks for your input. Still have yet to figure why (&how) to resume portion based screen shots using the Microsoft commands of Windows Start key + Alt key + S key (this method stopped working once I installed the Logitech ERGO K860 keyboard. Have any suggestions to fix this snaphoo? Due to the use of physical "accommocations", resuming this Microsoft screen shot method would be most helpful.

    I've got a somewhat different problem. My keyboard, which has been working fine, now won't connect. I was gone for two weeks and maybe the batteries died, I dunno.
    But the problem is this. Just pressing the connect button fails. And I cannot log in to my machine because the keyboard doesn't work. So I can't pursue any of the troubleshooting advice. I'm using my laptop now, but I'd really like to have my desktop computer back!

    • @ellisknox9129
      @ellisknox9129 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll answer my own question after having been on with Logitech support. If the keyboard loses the pairing, the *only* way to re-pair is to use the USB dongle. And there appears to be supply issues right now. I have ordered one but it's two weeks out. Luckily I have this laptop or else I'd be dead in the water.

      Did you try the Logitech Unifying software prior to contacting Logitech?

    The "b" key is for some reason on the left side, completely screws up touch-typing.

    • @Peter-xn7wg
      @Peter-xn7wg ปีที่แล้ว

      @OAMI4LIFE Also interesting! There are 11 keys between the two shift keys, with b in the middle (there's a tilda key to the left of z on European keyboards, including my K860 version!). I taught myself to touch-type a long long time ago, and learned to use my right forefinger to cover n and b, left forefinger to cover c and v. Left little finger is on tilda duty. I do it on automatic and at high speed now, but with this keyboard hit the plastic every time a b pops up! This is my first time using an ergonomic keyboard, I've never had to reflect on my typing before...startled to find out other people use their right hand for b, it's always seemed symetrical and natural to use the right. Really not sure if i can retrain my muscle memory after a lifetime of using the left forefinger.

    • @YourMobileTech
      @YourMobileTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's interesting. Every ergonomic split keyboard I have ever had has the "B" key on the left of the split. Which keyboard are you familiar with that has the "B" key in a different location?

    • @YourMobileTech
      @YourMobileTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Peter-xn7wg On my keyboard there are 10 keys between the shift keys. I, too, touch type but I use my right forefinger for V and B. My left forefinger is for N and M. My left little finger is for A and Z. Interesting. I'm glad you brought it to my attention, I had no idea how different keyboards could be and how they affect touch typists. I learned something new today, thank you.

      @@YourMobileTech And thanks for the video, it helped me set it up. Wasn't till then that i noticed the b thing - it was a real reveal , discovering i've been doing something wrong for most of my life!

    Was on the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard for years and it was good. When it died I tried this board. Hate it. Less comfortable than a standard straight board.

    • @YourMobileTech
      @YourMobileTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, I would think ANY ergonomic keyboard would be more comfortable than a stand straight board. What, specifically, did you dislike?
