    Had to sub...Thank you so much for the tips. Awesome video. Been fishing for 2 months. With a couple weeks learning lures getting flatties and bream. Got bit off by my PB flatty. Went home, changed lines, 4” paddle tail. Went out to where ive seen jew jump in Ballina river. 30mins in just before sunset & high tide and landed a my first jew. 92cm from my kayak. What a fight, pulling my kayak. Doing circles and deep dives. Sooo good....im hooked for life🙏🏽

    Awesome 👏, I’m trying everything to find one from my kayak on the tweed river 🥵 it will happen ! And it’s the first one that’s the hardest I’m 🤔 once I get one I will keep finding them😬definitely gonna try those plastics out ...

      Hi mate , look for that bait and that reef and you'll be on a winner ... tides and moon also play a big part ...but every river is different

    Thx for sharing your tips. Very helpful fellas. If you were targeting 1m Jews on 5 or 6in plastics - what rating rod would you go for - something like a 4-9kg?

    Hey mate just wondering what you’d recommend as a good size rod/reel/line combo for targeting school Jew on plastics? And what would be the lightest tackle you’d recommend ? Thanks for the great video

    • @YEPIMONFISHING
      @YEPIMONFISHING  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A 4-6kg rod and a 4000 size reel is a perfect all round size set up , that way you can get those bigger 6 inch plastics with half ounce jig heads out there and not snap a rod .
      I put 15lb braid and use 15 to 30lb leader .

      @@YEPIMONFISHING hey mate, I've got a 6-8kg catana and a Shimano Symetre 4000 loaded with 20lb braid. Average fish is 5-15kg but 20kg or more isn't unheard of. Reckon this will be suitable?

    Do you have a preferred moon phase that increases your catch rate.?very informative.💪💪💪

    • @YEPIMONFISHING
      @YEPIMONFISHING  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Moon phases can affect the session .. it's hard to explain ..but bigger tides with moon phases pushes bait further up the system

    Great vid gents, gained a follower here! Just wondering about the length of leader you use, did I hear 6 metres in the vid when it rubs on the crab pot???

    • @YEPIMONFISHING
      @YEPIMONFISHING  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate, welcome aboard , Glenn was using the extra long leader as more of a spool filler and also he had more leader to play with when it came to jig head changes and leader wear.

    • @brenthampton6352
      @brenthampton6352 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      YEP, I'M ON FISHING cheers for the reply. Not a bad idea for using a longer leader. All the best

  • @mickpaton9473
    @mickpaton9473 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome video. I do have a question tho how long of leader do you guys run ? And why so long ?

    • @YEPIMONFISHING
      @YEPIMONFISHING  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      G'day mate , sorry for the late reply.
      I run a rod length of leader , which is about the normal .
      Glenn runs anywhere up to 4 mtrs due to him wanting to get more lure changes out of it and also helps with structure rubbing .
