@@maariahussain4414 You may not want to hear it, but get an acoustic as a starter guitar. Once you go at least six months of getting better, then get an electric. As far as brands, Alverez for acoustics. They are cheap but play like a guitar worth twice as much. I will not buy any other brand of acoustics just for the name. Now once you make it to that 6 month mark, then this is where you splurge on equipment. Go with a $1000 limit. That means if you buy a $300 amp, buy a $700 guitar. Spend more for the guitar, trust me. It helps alot when the guitar is comfortable to play. As far as brands for electric, that's going heavily into preference. I prefer Schecter and Ibanez guitars (Mainly because I play 7 string and they have more options in that area) and Orange and Vox Amps ( Stick with Solid State and Tube amps, Modulars are a crutch). Don't worry about Effect pedals too soon, they get to become an impulse buy after a while and then BOOM, you have more pedals than The Edge from U2. Hope this helps you out man. I know its alot of info but I've been playing for going on 20 years and I learned alot more about what not to do. Learn from my mistakes my friend. Wish you luck.
