I've watched a few of these fish and chip las vegas reviews and noticed nobody seems to put vinegar on their chips. I'm Canadian and my mum was British so for us it was malt vinegar all the way! Americans seem to use more tartar sauce. If it's fish it's all good to me!

As a brit i can say gordons is much more authentic to our fish and chips in the UK, the chips are near identical and the fish looks exactly like what is sold at my local 'Chippy' (what us brits call a fish and chip restaurant/takeout)!
Gordon's 'chips' are nothing like chips from British chippy, they look like french fries. Both of these meals are nothing close to what you would traditionally find the UK. ..I mean, no mushy peas for a start lol.
Hey Guys, So glad you tried Gordon Ramseys Fish and Chips. My girlfriend & I ate there last year. OMG!!!! BEST Fish ever!!! The seasoned fries,cole slaw, sauces were awesome!!!! Gordons fish is so fluffy and tasty. We were VERYYYY impressed! very affordable too. We will have to try Lobster Me when we come to Vegas in September and we'll be staying at the Linq. Catherine is right about the Curry/Mango sauce. Excellent stuff! WOW!!!! She has good taste. So have you guys ever taste tested Secret Pizza at the Cosmo???? Awesome affordable Pizza.Only 5-6 bucks a slice. The white cheese is the best! I think you may have done a video on it. ok thanks for sharing the fish video. not the fish.....just the video! lol lol
At least you tried the fish and chips with the malt vinegar.. to me that's THE way to have proper fish and chips (no I'm not British lol).. none of the other reviewers have tried it with anything other than the standard tartar sauce from what I've seen. Also from what I've seen on other reviews, you might of gotten there on a bit of an off day at Gordon Ramsey's.. others didn't have issues with batter falling off and not being as crispy like you got.

Great comparison. They both looked wonderful. I liked the fish better from lobster ME as it was crunchier and larger fish. Waffle fries sound great but leave the corn meal off. I’d eat either on. Thanks for the review.
I will have to take Derek's advice and go with the Lobster Me. I don't like batter falling apart and I love waffle fries. I am also not a big fan of curry though I eat spicy Asian and Mexican cuisine. Thank you for the critique on both places guys you are definitely "The Best."

I have to try this, never seen in San Diego and LA. Lobster ME is still my 1st choice, a little cheaper price, thinner fish. Curry sauce is never tasted with fish&chips. Gordon Ramsay is a spot for visitors too just to try this curry sauce.
If Lobster ME has Maine ties then I would go there to support the Maine economy. Plus, they include coleslaw which is a must IMO. Hi Derek and Catherine, speaking here from Yorkshire in the North of England. Whilst the fish and chips looked very tasty, they weren’t especially authentic, but very nearly though…. In the U.K. never would you be served “waffle fries” (nor would we ever use the word fries, but in the US it helps your viewers differentiate) The Ramsey chips were much nearer what is served in the U.K. never to my knowledge at a regular take away “Fish and chip shop” are you served 2 or 3 fillets of fish, just the one, albeit somewhat larger. The fish served in the South of the U.K. is most often Cod and in the north, where I am it is traditionally Haddock. These days almost exclusively deep fried in oil, but occasionally, especially in my beloved Yorkshire, you might find an outlet frying in beef dripping - my goodness you have not lived until you have tried this - rarely would British people have tartre sauce with their F&C, maybe in a restaurant, but then they wouldn’t be traditional fish and chips. The traditional proper additions to fish and chips would be mushy peas and possibly curry sauce (nothing like, not even nearly like Indian curry - vastly different, more fruity) generally people put on salt and vinegar (malt vinegar) onto hot fish and chips and may if they wish add a dash of ketchup or more rarely generic brown sauce. Mostly salt and vinegar is enough. Glad you enjoyed them, as I said they did look tasty, but if you ever try British fish and chips, they are very different especially in the North of England, Yorkshire in particular (but I’m biased). Next time you HAVE TO get the extra toppings on the fries at Ramsey. My favorite is the bacon and cheddar, the bacon is almost like pork belly it is so thick and flavorful. It is a complete game changer!! Also Ramsey's uses cod. For me the choice is easily Ramsey. My mouth is watering right now!!
A very good hole in the wall Fish n Chips off strip is The Codfather. The owner and cook is an English man. As a local i go there to avoid the hassle and prices of the Strip

Fish & Chips - My favorite! It's often a menu choice at any given restaurant. I would lean more toward 'Lobster Me' w/extra tartar please, but how can you argue with the thicker meatier fillets also!🙂
Derrick and Katherine I just arrived in Vegas 3 Days ago and went on a fish and chips run similar to what you did.. but.. I report that the Best fish and chips in Vegas actually are the beer battered Halibut fish and chips at the Big Sur Oyster Bar located within Southpoint Casino!! It's a must for you both to experience this! My buddy told me Halibut makes the best fish and chips but is super hard to find. I searched long and hard until I discovered that it does exist in Vegas.. right here in Southpoint. Give it a try.. and maybe do a short video. I guarantee hands down you'll agree with me.. im from New York where haddock fish frys are super common in the Northeast. I can easily say this is way better.
Hi Derek, if you want some really great fish and chips, go check out the cafe inside of Ellis Island. They are the best in town, and reasonably priced.

I’ve had both and I liked Gordon’s much better. The shrimp and chip at Gordon’s is really good too.
Both looked good. You need to include Fulton Fish Frye in NYNY and RiRa at Mandalay Place.

Once Upon a Time, there was a chain called Fiddlers Three. They served haddock fish'n'chips and I miss them decades later.
