    Today we wanted to tell you how much we appreciate all of you for your continued commitment to your sobriety, especially those who have found there way back to their path after having a Sobriety Detour.
    I think that sometimes people hope that sobriety is just a fixed track from which they cannot derail, when realistically, its about as fixed as the wind blows. We will continue to find ourselves in new directions.
    As long as you have the desire to improve, you will continue to have the hope to succeed. With hope, there is always a way.

    Thank God I’m still on track with my sobriety in this moment in time . 🙏 I just focus on my sobriety in the present 🎁 moment.
    As long as I am in God’s Will I stay sober. I don’t allow myself to get overly excited or too sad. I strive for balance and equanimity 🧘‍♀️🧘🧘‍♂️
    I try to stay as mindful as possible and not get too hungry 😋 angry, lonely 😔 or tired.
    All those symptoms ☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️ are signs 🪧 I’m in self will. They are like a stop 🛑 sign 🪧 The emotions are there to get my attention and get me back on track 😊

    Hi! I just found your channel today and this is my second attempt getting sober. This episode really hit home to me as I've been thinking about taking a detour myself recently. I am about 3 months into my current streak and having a difficult time with thinking about how fun drinking and hanging out with friends was. I'm planning on watching a lot more of your videos to stay on track. Very blessed to have found you the moment I did. Thank you! Please keep creating!

    Identifying the destructive paths correct our trajectories toward the pinnacle, individually and as a species and concludes at the culmination of everything in your bodies and essence, as beings of Earth.
    I have to admit that Jae brings out the thoughts buried under excessive self destruction and in it's place, even if it's only in part, I can rest my mind and chose for myself and the effects of others not to simply suffer under a rusty nail of substance abuse.
    I'm in a phase of constant detours. I appreciate the soft pillowed texture that word invokes as a means to finally pry that rusty nail out.

    • @thesobrietyplaybook
      @thesobrietyplaybook 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The term “Detour” is a favorable word for me 😊 it’s much better than the words relapse,slip,went back out etc.
      All I know is that I have had many detours and every time I chose to return to sobriety, I learned several lessons.
      I’m grateful to be alive after my detours 🙏
      I can tell by your comment that you are highly intelligent 😊 I look forward to reading 📖 more of your comments in the future.

    At 50 years old and lonely, medical illnesses and cognitive impairments as a result of medical illnesses, it appears "lost my way" is a good way to state this. Have finally snapped and started doing/using old behaviors such as drinking. This is not for pity, it is just to let others who may read this who find themselves low down too and lonely (no we're not always alone) . I sleep in the shed I've lost all of my worldly possessions through a very disturbing divorce after illness and traumatic brain injury, I was always the one disabled and taking care of until the divorce happened and now I'm as close to homeless, so I'm grateful to have a tool shed for shelter I have no education to speak of or stand on, and I have no real solid work history or employable skills, and with the illnesses I'm not exactly reliable, now at the alcoholism / addict it's gotten to be daily scary for myself.
