What i would love to see on these, is an external air assist. Some of the topline co2 lasers use an external air assist, for blowing debris out of the way of the laser. Maybe it would possible to 3D print or create in some other way :D
Nice review. :) Sculpfun and the Longer is cheaper. But the Neje has the ability of a bigger workspace, which can be a very usefull thing for bigger projects. :)

Bluetooth is Supported by the Sculpfun S30, with the right Firmware.
Edit: With a Larger Antenna attached to the S30 Mainboard it works just fine😅
However there is a Wifi Symbol on their pics of the Mainboard.
Wifi isn't supported yet😢.
But I love my S30 5W, for 280$ it's a great machine.

I like the Neje Max 4 with the 20W because of the extra options, but is at least 250$ more expensive.
In this case, I would get the Longer Ray 5 20W because of the offline controller.
Longer and Sculpfun are a few hundred dollars cheaper than Neje if they are always discounted.

Thank you very much for this comparative review. I have had a Sculpfun S9 for some time, on which I replaced the 5.5W module with a 10w. Still I am not satisfied with the cutting ability. I think I need more power and therefore thought of buying a S30 Ultra with a 20W module when I leaned about the Neje Max 4 E80. Now I have my doubts. The Neje is more expensive than the S30 which is an issue but on the technical side, which can serve me better? Neje's controllable Z axis offers good material thickness overcoming through machinery while Sculpfun declare their beam to be long and still concentrated. Could you (or maybe someone of the followers) please compare the actual material thickness that can be cut by the 2 machines: Sculpfun S30 20W (long beam) vs. Neje 20W (moving module)?

Hi, thank you for your comment.
The two laser Modules are equivalent in terms of cutting depth; by moving the laser to the lowest possible, you go deeper. The benefit of the Neje Max 4 is that this operation can be done automatically and in between layers.
In terms of cutting the Neje 20W as a thinner line and because of the z offset it cuts a bit faster.
On the other end, the Sculpfun is an all-in-one machine and includes the Air Pump with onboard control.
In the neje, you need your air source and you need to buy the electro valve to make the air control automated which is an extra cost.

Z axis is irrelevant as you can add feet and raise it up, as you do with a rotary attachment.

That's not the point. The Z-axis can be controlled dynamically by the appropriate software, so that the laser beam focus can follow a curved contour. As shown in the video, by the way.
