    Bravo, Dr. has a huge range of skills. Almost all long pips players basically only know how to chop and block to win 'easy' points. Especially at the amateur level, where every ball is blocked and played wide n short to tire out the opponent. 😲.. No wonder long pips players are generally regarded as lazy players (esp. Close to table) with no 'real' skills n dependent on deception to win games. Dr. has brought respectability to this type of play. Especially the aggressive attack strokes that are virtually unheard of. 👏👍..

      hi steven, not at the better levels. I am a good long pimples player penhold with long pips on forehand and short pips on backhand. but I hit the ball in attack similar to an inverted player. eg: against blockers and choppers, i am attacking them 3-4 balls at a time with my long pips and short pips. I agree if you are only an intermediate player, those long pips do seem to win easily against you. but at the higher level over 1600 ratings central ranking, Players at that level have no issues with Long Pips, unless the long pips player is also 1600 plus. RATINGS CENTRAL. check out the players rankings on that ranking system. Finally, you actually need more skills to play pimples at the advanced levels than inverted, as it requires lots of practice to be able to attack with pimples. hope that helps you understand pimples better.

      @@kavarasings9813 Well said. 👍 As an intermediate player, I often lost to long pips players. But up against advanced level inverted players, they struggled n are mercilessly disposed in straight games with low scores. From my observation, their strengths become their weaknesses. An inverted rubber player with a strong understanding of the characteristic n tactics of long pips play will capitalised on his strong, spinny attacks and strategic pushes to outwit him. Unless the pips player is ranked much higher, his opponent would invariably win. Or unless the advanced inverted player despite his obvious skills has little to no regular playing experience against the pips players. 'Gift' points are what pips players thrived on., from unforced errors. 😉.

    • @kavarasings9813
      @kavarasings9813 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thats right steven. long pips players can only bully intermediate players . Another factor you may overlook is that inverted is only suitable for young players below 40. You need speed, agility, acceleration to reach 1600 ratings central rating and above. new older players who just started playing ping pong will never be a good inverted player because of their age. many want to be a hero but progress stops at around 1400 ranking. finally, anyone that complains about pimple players are exposing themselves as intermediate or beginner players under 1400 RC ranking.
      One last point, most shakehand players over 40 have pimples on their backhand side nowadays. its just how god made us. inverted rubber are for young players up to age 40, unless they are 65 but have been a very good junior in their days. i am old so I am sharing my knowledge with you. people who complain about pimples should try to play with it. it is very hard to master and to become good with pimples. it is not just blocking and forcing errors. advance pimple players can hit the ball at least 12 different ways, swipe, push, block, hit, smash twiddle etc etc that takes skill.@@stevenlee9619

    The weak point is that putting no spin on serve in this modern table tennis era, you'll get attacks by your opponent right at the beginning.

    • @kavarasings9813
      @kavarasings9813 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      long pimples is only on one side. the other side is usually inverted or short pips. so can use inverted or short pips to serve. Also there is serving technique using long pimples too, so if you attack it, your ball will sail long or into the net.

      @@kavarasings9813 Exactly. A long pips player I know who dedicated his game on twiddling his bat ( inverted rubber on b/h) speedily through out all his games, both in serves and attacks. Outplayed every one other than higher ranked players. Mastered twiddling to an art, coupled with his agile foot work is a night mare for many opponents. 😲.

    Standing in front of the table with straight legs and straight body, and doing 95% nothing. These rubbers are truly designed for the people who dont want to work, but want to win. With the least work possible.

      ZsebtelepHUN im 51 and started playing 16 yrs ago...play every day for 16 yrs...hitting millions of balls with the fastest inverted set up out there...7 coaches etc...no one love table tennis more than me... i have never had anything good to say about long pips......i have great pain in my lower back from yrs of hockey...baseball, golf etc...and gave up all those sports to only play table tennis...of late even table tennis is torquing my back too much making it difficult to even walk. ...my best skill's (because im a lefty has always been my blocking ability).... further to your point i would say that these rubbers are also designed for people just like myself who are looking to still play as they get older and the body gets weaker (or the back anyway)....furthermore the 'work' would not end because i have already tried lp and it's very difficult to initiate an attack like th dr does....so the learning curve is such that you're learning all over so i don't think "least work possible' is applicable....not in my case anyway.....regards

      +Dale Miller You implied that HamasakiFanz was frustrated from losing many games to frictionless pips players. This is silly because that type of rubber has been banned a long time ago.
      You can try to weasel your way out by saying some irrelevant shit like "I don't play with this rubber" but it does not obscure the fact that what you suggested was stupid.
